    Hitchhiking.

This is something that has fascinated me for the last few years. Especially long distance. I hear its a great way to see your country for pretty much free. Ill be turning 19 this march and i was thinking of taking a solo hitchhiking trip across Canada(at least to saskatchewan from Quebec) this summer. Has anyone else been interested in doing this type of thing? Also don't tell me its dangerous, its really not as dangerous as the media make it out to be.

I haven't done this but I would definitely try it if I was given the chance. I love the nature.

I Think it is a cool idea and it would definitely save you some cash to travel. but it would still make me nervous to try it. You know they say it all dangerous and it could be. lol i would have to hitchhike with old ladies or church buses to feel not so nervous about it. But if your not nervous/afraid then go for it!

Well, I've hitchiked once or twice, and I never had any problems. I'm not really into the nature, so I definetily wouldn't go around hitchiking to see the country, and I can just use my parents' car (since I have a license) so I'd do that, but defo not hitchike through the country. I for some reason wouldn't feel safe if dropped off in the middle of nothing for instance (I wouldn't know where I am, how to get home if need to, and what not). Otherwise, if you're into nature, and aren't anxious about being a place you do not know enough to know how you will get back to where you came from, you should go for it:)

Taking a car isn't as adventurace as hitchhiking=P Plus hungary is much smaller then Canada as well. Probably don't need much gas to travel around hungary.

I have never tryed this before, I've thought about doing it. One of my friends actually did that(traveled across america) he said it was amazing and that the people that let him hitch with them were nice people but there was 1 person that was sketchy, he said he would defenanrly do it again and I was thinking of joining him.
