What square footage is your house?

I thought this would be a good question to see some variety among the members of the forum. I'm in the process of purchasing a 1300sqft house and would like to know what everyone else is rocking?

Whether or not you live with your parents, roomates, in an apartment or mansion. We all have various spaces which we need to fit all our stuff into.

 

Chicago, just recently moved from a 1000 sq ft 3 br apartment with 15 ft ceilings to about 150 sq ft studio apartment... needless to say, my dog is not happy.

 

you're IN the city though thats how things are. I lucked out and found a place just on the outskirts of the city.

 

1000 sq ft for 3 bedrooms?

JFC that's SMALL... I'm a carpenter by trade, how big were those rooms??

Ive got an 1000 sq ft ONE bedroom appt..

And I'm not even sure its POSSIBLE to fit what I'd consider an apartment in 150 sq ft .. You do realize that's only 15 x 10.. Is your kitchenette combined with your bathroom?? Do you sleep on a Murphy bed?

The efficiencies (Murphy bed, kitchenette, small closet and living/bedroom) around here are around 500 sq ft.

 

3300 (my parents) pretty fucking big house, on acrerage as well

 

House is about 5500 sqft, I live in the basement and have about 1800.

House is gigantic for 3 people, but people are constantly over so at least the space (well, at least the basement) is consistently used.

 

Damn what do you rent a mansion or something? Biggest house I've had ever is my parents which is 3000 even.....

I'm looking to adding an extension to my kitchen into my backyard at my new place. It's gonna be about a year until I do this but I'm hoping to add roughly 100 more sqft in the kitchen

How big are those bedrooms????? That doesn't sound like much for 4 man.

 

Somewhere around 1500sqft which 2 big ass bedrooms, which is enough for me and my family.

 

4897,6 square foot. Living with 2 parents, a younger brother and a younger sister.

 

I can't quite remember what my parents said, but I measured it on Google Earth, and a conservative estimate was about 3000 square feet per story, but that sounds incorrect so I'm not 100% sure.
