Please Help Me

Well guys after a long time away i am back. I use to love runescape so much until I was banned. I have played runescape for 4 years on and off and was an accomplished player. Now i have returned to create my own private server. I have almost no programming experience but i do have a huge 1400 page book on everything you need to know about java siting on my shelf. Now here are my questions to all your veterans. What aspects of java should i learn first so that I can begin to program my own runescape server based off one of the sources? What are some good sources that are pretty clean? I asked that question because i want to create a server that is just like how runescape was. A total recreation of runescape. I do not want these pk sources with all this crap everywhere you know what I'm saying? I'm sure you can dig that. Well thanks guy i hope you can help me out. Basically i just want to have fun creating a runescape server, trying as hard as i can to make it like the original. Where exactly should i get started?
