Taking a long break from trading, unless they are fully trusted.

Well basically, i have just been scammed for 100+ USD from a user on Sythe, i will not be posting there name .. not yet anyway, i will be contacting the police, and hopefully taking this user to court, im not asking for attention when posting this, just letting you all know i will be taking a break from trading on sythe now, as this has happened i put my trust into people too fast, i have already traded about 200$+ On sythe and i have not been a member for even a week yet, i will only be trading with fully trusted user's for a while now.. i find it sick how scammer's can just scam and feel no guilt, it was hard earned money and they just take it away without any warning, if someone is amazing at paypal claim's drop me a private message to me we may discuss, i am alright with them, but not the greatest.

 

Your not going to court with them. Yes your mad but don't blow things out of proportion. We both know you wouldn't actually get them there. Your lawyer alone would cost way more than your little 100$. I'm sorry you got scammed but don't over dramatize.

 

Lol hiring a lawyer is more than the $100. Not to mention, they would just settle and you end up getting your original money but you still have the laywer fees you have to deal with.

 

It's the principle i assume, sad to hear about your loss, i'd always advise using an Official middle man and not take paypal payments, try to only use Western union.

 

A lawyer is going to cost more than $100 dollars.

 

Always use MM and don't take direct PP payment from untrusted users.

The biggest thing is don't take Paypal directly from untrusted users. To those saying only use Western Union it's not always possible (or at least from what I understand) as I don't have a Western Union within an hour of me.

 

Even if you got a lawyer, the RSGP and everything else belongs to Jagex, not you.

I did not trade with Jagex item's it was a non virtual trade, and i can get a lawyer under 100$ as i have family in the law buisness, i have now reclaimed the money so no need to take them there, no further action will be pursued, be careful when trading with "trinotox" no proof, but just my word.

 

Well to perfectly honest you are allowed to ask for additional funds to pay for your lawyer as part of the suit. Just get someone who does not charge unless you win.

 

He never said he was dealing with RSGP or any other form of virtual currency, though.

Thanks alot 'Allen12' one of the few user's that didnt follow the crowd and post the same thing over and over again without knowing the situation.

 

You could try taking them to small claims court, which would avoid lawyers. But first try and win the paypal dispute because you do have a chance.

Congrats on recovering your money. Family members in law are always helpful!

 

And also, if you went to court saying that you'r mad because you were trying to buy RSGP or something for a game; where doing that is "Illegal" in a way...Could you get in trouble for doing so?
