When buying a runescape account help?

I was wondering if I decide to buy account what I should I ask them for? Its been awhile since I was in Runescape, so wondering is there things I need to know about the account besides recovery questions?

 

Just know that if they give you all the information and details possible they can still recover the account back. This is why it is advised to buy accounts off of only extremely trusted people.

I'd try to get access to the original email if I were you. Ask the seller for it.

 

Recovery questions have been phased out as a security measure by Jagex a while back. Also, even if you're given access to all correct recovery information by a seller, it's entirely possible that they (the original owner) will still be able to recover it and/or that your own recovery attempts will be denied. For that reason, the most important thing to do is to purchase from a trustworthy seller, and, in my opinion, rather than asking for account details, just stay in contact with the seller so that they can help you sort out any future account issues.

 

Exactly. Any original owner can recover the account solely based on the fact that his IP address was the creation IP, or that his ISP was the creation ISP, or that his house address matches the address in which the account was created in. No amount of recovery details can override this.

 

Ignore recovery tests and all that, they are meaningless. My general rule of thumb: If you can't trust them to go first without a MM, don't buy the account. Even with a mm, they can easily recover the account after the transaction. With or without a middleman, you're trusting them to not recover the account. This isn't to say don't use a middleman, but consider that when buying an account.
