Paypal demanding lawyer fees

So due to a chargeback my paypal account i barely use went negative -22euros and then to -37 for chargeback fees. Now i am recieving emails from lawyers requesting me to send the amount plus an extra lawyer fees etc. So the amount is now at -117 Euros...

I can easily afford that but isnt this just an absolute scam? I basically took a 22 euros loan from paypal due to a chargeback and within ill say 2 months i now have to pay them 117 euros?

Is there anyway out of this? Can i just ignore them or will that just make them keep increasing the fees? Also why do i have to pay for a lawyer i didnt even hire or even know of?

Edit: also i sent them proof of the chargeback being false and they basically ignored it

You should just pay it. Literally nothing you can do. I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago where I was scammed, and I even showed the proof of the scam etc, was still told to pay the chargeback. Sent letters to my house and called me all the time lol. Would just pay it if I were you.

 

I had chargebacks multiple times and never paid it I am from canada nothing happened to me?

 

If you want to continue using PP then sure pay it.

If you don't, their not going to do anything to u besides try to call you and send the occasional letter.

Paypal doesn't bother with anything under $10k legally.

Just a bunch of loser debt collectors who I always enjoy telling to go fuck themselves.

 

Honestly, Paypal is so integral to conducting any sort of online business right now that he should just pay the 117 Euro. It's not worth the hassle being in the negatives with them.

 

I've never heard of a chargeback running someone 100 euros though, I know for us in the USA its $25.00 a chargeback.

100 euros sounds like something else is going on, I do agree with you but I have no idea what OP did to be charged 100 euros unless it was like 4-6 chargebacks.

The big one 58 euros just says "lawyer fees". Apperantely paypal hired a german law company against me or something

Also by researching the company alot of people reported them asking for more and more money since they apperantely wont drop the law case unless its paid back which is why i decided to pay.

 

I wouldnt pay it and stick to crypto until it sorts itself out

 

I actually won the dispute so that pays for the fees paypal sent me and a bit extra
