Can someone hack you with just knowing your ip? Some kid said "I know your IP" after he hacked my rs account.

 

No, someone can't hack you by knowing your IP.. Odds are you got phished when you lost your account. After you went to the specific domain they had your IP -assuming you did in-fact get phished- and once they log onto your RS account your IP is visible.

Actually they can.

 

Enlighten us. An IP alone is not enough to gain access to someone's personal information. And certainly not enough to gain access to someone's RS account.

 

Only thing I can think of really are DDoS attacks.

 

I was going to say, the only thing you can do with an IP is flood it... But I don't know anything about it

 

If you're paranoid about it, just get a new IP.

Go to your command prompt and type
ipconfig/release

Then, type
ipconfig/renew

 

I would, but then I'd most likely get banned. Its possible though and to all the idiots who are denying me. Its called a port. Lrn2computers
