    Hello Sythe community,

    I had been Googling for websites where I could sell my Guild Wars 2 account. Although Sythe didn't come up initially, I read people talking about Paypal scamming, and their suggestion was to use PlayerAuctions and/or Sythe.

    I like the impression I have gotten so far from the site. Security and integrity seem to be very valued.

    I must admit, the idea makes me really anxious of selling my stuff and getting scammed. But I am reading everything I can to make sure any transactions I have will go smoothly and "by the books". I want to do everything right.

    I read the FAQ and have to find my way to that page I came across before about how to trade safely. Any other tips are welcome if you feel like sharing. 'Knowledge is the greatest treasure' after all. ;)

    best way to not get scammed: Check number and quality of buyer/sellers vouches, and request a pm of skype convo.

    Yikes! Two of the above were banned since I last checked this thread. This is why I like to do things by the books.

    I had a couple of questions if this is the right place to ask them.

    In the Trading Safely section, it says "(OMMs and MMs can only ensure the trade happens safely, it doesn't mean you're completely safe (i.e. account recoveries, chargebacks, etc.)"

    How does the chargeback work if it's a middleman? Does the buyer chargeback the middleman and the middleman in turn chargeback the seller? That's kind of concerning.. I had been thinking Middlemen could somehow prevent chargebacks. I didn't actually see a place where it lists the steps of a Middleman trade.

    I want to sell 3 things in the next few weeks. My GW2 money, an item, and my account. GW2 suspends people for sending large value items in the mail, so I am not sure how people on playerauctions are selling theirs. Is there an expert on GW2 trades I can ask about it?

    Also, is it smart to make a different skype account just for this, or should I use my personal one?

    The buyer sends the payment directly to the seller. A middleman cannot prevent chargebacks, it's your risk.
