    My Future Computer?

Personally, since i know a thing or two about computers, Id build mines from scratch, not only does it perform better, but you save much more money as well. You would have enough money left over to buy an awesome mouse and keyboard, and several other hardware such as a amazing graphic card.

Vista is the future, all computers are coming with it these days. Vista's not too bad once you get used to it anyway.

I lol'd. Programming? Put it together, just the pieces. That's not real hard, Eh? Depends on what you're gonna use it for. Gaming, get more video memory, and maybe a larger hard drive. Might set you back a bit more, but try some DDR3 RAM. Much more efficient, and I can run Vista on just 1GB of DDR3.

    My Future Computer?

That computer looks okay if you aren't wanting to build one yourself. There is just a few problems.

    1. You can't play many games with that low-end video card it has... If you get it I'd definitely upgrade the video card to something stronger. A 8800GT will do you good, and they have gone down in price. (100$ for some) That slimline also has a PCI-e slot so your good to go.

    2. HP isn't a brand that uses good PSU's. My HP a6223w only came with a 200W PSU.. and you would for sure want to upgrade to PSU to atleast a 400W so you can power a new video card.

    3. The slimline models have a really small tower, so if you were to get any new upgrade, get the dimensions and see if it will fit first! A 8800GT video card measures in 9-12in long.

If you just want the computer to do work and such though, it would be good, but for gaming you'd need to upgrade a lil.

Looks good, although I'd go for XP Professional and definately upgrade the graphics card to atleast 512mb (Preferably 1GB).

No in this case it really doesn't matter how much vram the card has if you get that pc just upgrade it to atleast a 8600GT or the equivalent ATi has. The only reason you would want more vram is if you had a larger monitor.

    My Future Computer?

Build it yourself, It has been stated above, But its the way forward.

I have done it, And im very pleased i did, You learn alot about components, and how the computer works by building it, Makes you more self-reliable at fixing the computer should anything go wrong, And makes it very easy to upgrade it so it will keep up with future technology. As well as the fact it is ALOT cheaper.

Building a computer isn't hard at all. You may need some advice on what components will be compatible with one another, But once thats sorted you can order the components, and building it is very easy. Just a matter of screwing in the motherboard, adding in the RAM, Graphics and CPU, screwing the disk drive and hard drive in the bays, Screwing the PSU up at the top, And connecting it all together.

Would take me under an hour to build one.

But if you really do want to buy a pre-made one, HP are possibly the best and most reliable brand to opt for, So thats a good start, But the fact that it has a fairly low end nvidia graphics cards limits you to any modern gaming, and the slow pentium dual core processer is also not very future proof at all.

Vista is the way forward, Windows 7 is the new OS microsoft are working on at the moment and it has the same GUI technology as Vista, so looks like we'll have to learn to live with it.

    My Future Computer?

Alright i built my own computer and it runs fine. My sister has a slim model computer like that one and it over heats VERY fast. And it is very hard to find upgrades for slimline computers. Like graphics cards because the chasis are much different. So if you have the choice get a regular sized computer. You will be very happy with it.

Get a dell hardrive with hp monitor, and you're good. The dell hardrive has better security and the hp monitor looks better than dell's monitors.
