Need some guitar help (metallica - the day that never comes)`

Hi, ive decided to TRY and play "Metallica - The day that never comes" but i'm having trouble deciding which tab to take.

Which one do you actually use, and which one do you like the most? (Note: you will probly have to know how to play guitar to help me out here)

Also, one the first one as it is only 2 strings you play at some parts, does that mean you have to pluck them or just play all 3 strings, EG. if it was E and D being playing do you play A aswell?
