Jazz's StealRS2 Capture (screeny)

Works fantasticly as we know, but...

...Is there anyway you can make it save the file with the jpg format? (not just the bitmap extention with .jpg)

I've tried searching and had no luck, so figured I'd post, either jpg (with reasonable quality) or png would be great.

(No option to save as bitmap, just straight save as .jpg or .png).

 

Joewnn posted a function a while ago, I'll see if I can obtain it and add it into the source for you

 

Just use Gadwin printscreen. Pwns this VB6 program.

you can just change the extension to .jpeg ^_^.

but it causes some problems with some picture viewing programs, and it doesn't reduce the size of the file.

but as jazz said joewnn released his source for a .gif or .png compressing module, i think it might be in one of his client sources, ill have a dig and see if i can find it.

 

mmm, the VB6 saving function saves it as a bitmap by default, and it saves the headers too.

OK, I just re-uploaded the new file under the same name. It now allows you to save it as a JPEG with compression. The extra files and how to use them are in the archive.

Jazz you forgot to edit the stealrs2 code to input the selwnd.

If anyone tries to use it as is you get a 1 x 1 pixel image.

you need to add:

Code:

selwnd = rshwnd

to the second last line of code in to the stealrs2 code.

Jazz you can you re-upload the attached one if you dun feel like opening vb and fixing your file. (i couldn't .rar it sythe doesn't like .rar files )

omg im gonna use that compression, it saves as .png really really well, and .gif but no so well.

if you go to world 12 it doesn't pull the applet.

Here look i have one of my sources for a bitmap screenshot taker, just change the extention from bitmap to jpg and you have a jpg taker.

No you don't... You have a bitmap screensaver that just saves with a .jpg file name, not the format.
I know a lot more than VB than you think lol.
