Santa Hat

So I'm probably selling my skiller for 30m+ tonight, putting me at around 75m cash. I can probably also borrow about 5m from my brother. If I have enough, should I buy a santa? I don't really need the money so could hold it for a few months, or just keep for a long time. Thoughts? Will it rise or fall? The graph looks like it might rise.

even if santas fall, they will always rise again. they're discontinued so the supply will either stay the same or fall, but the demand will rise

also, I love santas so even if mine does happen to crash, I'm still happy

 

That's basically waht I was thinking, they will always rise in the long run.

 

If you're planning on keeping it, go ahead and buy one.
But if you're going to sell it the first time you change your mind, leave it alone.

 

I'm planning on holding it for a fair while, maybe not even selling.
I don't really play my main when it's f2p, and im not planning on going members until my exams are done at least so I guess I will buy it.

 

Then you should buy it before the price rises.

Rares will always rise-- the problem is, they drop occasionally also. If you have money sitting in your bank, then go ahead and invest in one but don't bail at the first sign of trouble, hold on to it.

 

Only thing that will cause rares to permanently fall would be by Jagex intervention. That is: removal of free trade/stacking or introducing a substitute item (like they tried to do with Royal, which was a huge flop)

Go for it. Those mule accounts of chessy should be selling them off now if they got unlocked.

Meh I need this guy to come on to buy my skiller so I can buy the santa before it rises too much. Problem is I live in the UK and he lives in Australia. If I miss my chance I'll be pissed.

 

Do it, imo it's the coolest looking discontinued item and it goes good wit the one christmas event.

 

I don't know, mayby in a month, but the hacker off chessy has 1000 santa's and can easily dominate the market.

 

I really don't see the logic behind spending your entire bank on something when the money could most likely go towards something much more useful.

Coming from someone with a 1b+ bank/I make 20M+ daily. Just doesn't make sense l0l. Pretty sure you could use the money to raise your skills rather than buying an item that'll just wind up sitting in your bank or that you'll sell in a week when you realize playing around with like 5-10M sucks.

 

If you want a santa, go for it. It doesn't look like it'll be crashing hard any time soon so its a semi-safe investment. Personally, I'd invest it in better gear or a skill (herblore/prayer/summoning), but if combat isn't your thing then for sure get a rare, they're fun to have.

 

I reckon santa will only go up in time, as always.

I would try and go for a mask, or try and flip with that money instead.

 

If you're ever thinking about buying a rare, remember one thing; Rares can only go up (of course the prices will go up and down, but not in large increments) so therefore, buying a rare?: Yes.

 

Rumor has it they're going to rise, but its a discontinued item - they're always fluctuating.

If your going F2P for a bit, you might as well buy one.

 

Up to you, they are steady at the moment, but will rise soon enough.
