Help with a transaction

Im trading a guy some rsgp for his account, is there any safe way to handle it like doing it in the presence of a mod? Pm some helpful tips please

Good MM's will explain the process to you.
Always request a Private Message from the MiddleMan and the Seller.

 

This, and if the account still has recovery's and a E-Mail ask the MM to hold the money untill you secured the account.

Also, if you want to be more certain that they will not scam you, use one of the site's Official Middle Men, who will often have more experience in trades, after having been through a long "testing" process.

 

Offical MiddleMen are the safest. They will charge around 10m for their service, your basically paying for the security that you will not scammed in the trade. MiddleMen are free, they offer this free to gain vouches to eventually apply for that glorious OMM rank, or they simply wish to help out. However not all middlemen are trusted, and some WILL scam. Use trusted middlemen and if its a large amount of RSGP just pay for the OMM. it's better to loose 10m to a omm than 250m to a scamming middleman.

Also make sure you trust the person your buying from. Just because your a new user and are a legit buyer, does not mean they are a legit seller. A lot of times people recover the accounts back after they have sold them, so take care!

 

I would suggest that you use a regular middleman in a situation like this unless it is of extremely high value. (FireZ if it is $250+, The Black Tux, or anyone who you deem truly trusted. But don't take chances.

If it's a very high value though, to be honest I would not buy it. It is very likely that the account will be recovered back. You will have no way of retrieving the gold you payed either.

If you do decide to buy the account, I strongly suggest that you leave a minimal amount of wealth on it for the next couple of months.
