[Help] Second monitor dim.

Hello Sythe, I was trying to set up my secondary monitor tonight when I ran into a problem. I'm running x2 GTX 580's. I have both screens running off one of them connected properly etc. When the secondary screen turns on it's bright and shows my desktop background as it should, but it goes dim seconds later.. so dim it look as if it's off but if I drag a tab over, you can SLIGHTLY see it. I've tried changing the settings in NVIDIA control panel, no luck. Ran a couple other test and still no luck.. Anybody ever have this problem before or any suggestions of what I can try? As said It is not a bad monitor and if I plug everything directly to it works fine as a primary screen.

 

You recalibrated the other monitor to the resolution of your screen?

 

And the monitor works if you switch the cables round? so the main screen is on the broken monitor?

 

Have you played with the settings on the monitor itself?

 

Turn up the brightness. Search "brightness" in windows. Press the menu button on your monitor there should be an option for brightness.
