New(?) virus going around via MSN.

I'm not entirely sure if this is a NEW virus, but I've just discovered that while I'm sending messages on MSN I'll occasionally send a link to some java website. This website then injects itself into the person's computer and occasionally sends the message to others.

I have this, and so far I've had to tell everyone before the conversation about not clicking on it.

[email protected] sent it to me, watch out.

VIPRE does NOT pick up the virus as of right now.

These virii have been around for ages. Your antivirus probably wont pick up on it until after you have clicked it or until it attempts to modify your system.

There is a sticky dedicated to the detection and removal of virii, check it out.

If a software does not remove it, look for an unknown shortcut on your desktop and right click it to find the properties to find the location, and delete all associated files and registry keys. If theres no shortcut(s), ctrl+alt+del to find an unknown process and do the same. These type of "viruses" are usually spread through MSNspread through the use of botnets, so don't accuse the sender of the links as they are not trying to infect you, but are infected themselves !
