Clue Scroll (Level 2) Question.

Hi there, i was thinking of killing guards in falador to get a level 2 clue scroll.

I was just wondering, how many guards roughly will i have to kill for them to drop one?

The probability of you getting a scroll is completley random.
And ring of wealth's don't help.

but they help get a better reward at the completion of it?

Oh right, then why does it say on tons of guides to bring one then? lol

But so am i right in saying that, you can be killing guards, and you could get a clue scroll in 2 kills, or 2 thousand kills?

 

well i killed some guards for a clue.

first time took like 5 kills. second like 50 lol . random chance tbh

 

A ring of wealth always helps me get a clue quicker but no the rewards arn't effected. What i do is set up a cannon and fally gates, so that you can set it up without saying its to close to the dwarven black guard. I do that because if it brakes i just need to go a short distance to get it fixed. But im pretty sure a whip works fine.

iv been doing that for about 2 days, i have been getting one before 120 kills, so it will take 30min at the most iv done 6 clues and only gotten addy, runes, and picks

 

Oh half an hour to get one's not bad i guess.

Yeah that sucks, i've known someone who got a 6mil animal mask on his first clue

 

There is no set amount of guards to kill
it may be 1 -100
its completely random

 

When a clue scroll drops, the reward for it has already been decided.

From my friends input, he said that doing Legends has a weighted effect on the rewards from a clue scroll. He got this information from a Player Mod.. I have done Legends now, and I may start going Clue Scroll Hunting.

 

it is random but the best monster for lvl 2s are harpie bug swarms

you cannot determine when u are going to get a clue drop, its random, as for the reward its set. you cannot alter it
