Do you have your own business?

Or would you like to start the one in future? How hard is that in your opinion?

 

Definetely not. I has an experience with starting and developing a startup together with my friend, it was really interesting time and taught me many things but I don't want to repeat this experience anymore. In fact starting your own company is possible for everyone but making it successful and profitable will take really much time, work and money from you (that's why start capital is usually so needed) There are many keys for becoming successful in this case, some of them are necessary for any business in general and some depends on a certain companie's sphere. Speaking about general ones I can say that the most important are:

- finding an interesting and competitive idea for your startup
- preparing a good business plan, especially for the first years
- finding your partners and clients
- developing an effective management system which will be the basis for profitable functioning of the whole company
- advertising
- investing in various tech innovations idapgroup.com/dedicated-team/ for improving the general quality of your work
- creating a strong, qualified work team

And you should be really patient, no company will become really successful fast. In my case I understood that it's just not 'mine' at all.

 

I currently do not, but i plan to in the near future. I'm looking at locations to start an iphone repair company.

 

I feel like everyone should have their own business, they're too easy to start to not have one

 

Depends on the type of business... I had a licensed and insured business the day I turned 18, and let me tell you was worst mistake ever. I started as one of those kids that cut the grass around the neighborhoods, eventually invested in a small 32" walk behind and a nice weed eater, then a trailer etc etc. Was always that kid in high school that was "ballin" because I spent all my time running this "business" and told myself I would never work for anyone a day in my life. Well it was nice when I was making all that money, not taxed, but once you make over $15k a year you have to file it or you will get f'd. Turned 18, made it all legit and ended up selling the company for a 1/3 of what it was worth just because I didn't want to deal with the paper work and other jazz behind running a legit business.

 

Starting a business and running it requires your full commitment . Don’t expect to get many days off in the early days , enjoy growing the tiny acorn as my personal belief is if you want to run a business , love it and breath it and it will pay in many more ways than stamping clock in machine for a weekly pay cheque. Not having a dig at working for someone by the way , people have their own business on the side from their day job.

 

I had a couple e-commerce businesses. They weren't really successful but they were great learning experiences! They still exist so I guess I still own one but they aren't active. I'd love to start a business with an idea I really love though. The e-commerce businesses were really just to practice things I learned in school.

 

It depends on your idea and how confident you are.

I run a business and these are the following things that helped me:

1. I got a job after college, learned everything my successful boss did and I copied it

2. I knew I would succeed because my product is the best.

3. Once you start give it everything you got. If you’re a service company that’s great because there are zero start up costs. When I started I literally gave my service for free until people saw results. And one of my first clients I did this with gave me 4 referrals.

I do not have my own business now, but I would like to build it and do something like that iRidium controlling of Smart home and IoT devices I think this is the future, and over time, our whole life will be in the device

 

I do want to have my own business in the future.

On the downside, it's very hard to start up a unique idea for a company which will attract people to your business.

You either come up with a new idea, or compete with everyone else.

 

It's my 10-15 year plan.

 

Having your own business is great. Every second wants to do it, but not everyone succeeds. One desire is not enough. It is also necessary to have a business plan, opportunities to implement it. It seems to me the easiest way to start from your site and gradually develop it. Of course, it must be at the level and made by professionals. I freelance as a UI Designer & a Frontend Developer along with doing my Bachelors of Interaction Design.

I'm very soon going to open a design and development business named MindUI - MindUI

Although I'm still working on analyzing the market and how to make my business different. Perhaps designing VR and AR interfaces along with offering the general UI design and Frontend services.

 

I would like to start one in the future.
