Help! I'm old and the interwebs confuse me.

So I don't have a clue what most people are talking about most of the time on this forum and I am getting a crash course in avoiding scammers and hackers. I thought Hackers was just a mediocre mid 90's movie with a young voluptuous Angelina Jolie sporting a rad character name. Anyways, I do appreciate Sythe and mostly use it for the likes of RoB. I wanted to donate and it seems like I can only donate with RN gold? Am I missing something. I am unfamiliar with runscape. Is there a way to donate via paypal or debit card?:huh:

 

Easy way for donating with RS gold would be just contact one of the users that accepts RSGP, Ex. Nick, and then see if you can pay them straight up for it.

is the link where you donate. I do see what you're saying though, I only see Runescape payment methods available at the moment. I'm pretty sure they accept PayPal though...

Refraining from clicking any suspicious links and having a great antivirus software (example: Kaspersky) will protect you from hacking.
There are a LOT of scammers on this board. The best way to avoid them is to use an official middleman on this site. You are a newcomer so unless you donate a massive amount, people are going to want you to go first, and that'll make you very vulnerable to scams. Also, scammers like to use imposter MSN and Skype accounts, so make sure to private message everyone you're dealing with and to double check that their MSNs/Skypes match up.

While PayPal is a valid form of donation, you need to pass all 3 factors to be eligable to doante -

- Have at least 100 posts.
- Been a member for more than 15 days.
- Already at least a $5 donator.

I recommend donating with RSGP to jump to $5 and then donate the rest via PayPal.
