[HELP CMD Prompt]: How do I...

I have a USB with windows installed on it using Daemon's tool's.

How do I program my cmd prompt to run the USB on start-up and any other info on how the installation would be done properly would be great... ;p

So, you're trying to install windows via USB, correct?

 

Yes and I used Daemon's tool to put the files onto the usb and was told I had to run the usb at start-up but I'm pretty unsure on how I begin to do this lol.

 

Hold down whatever function key (Mine is F8) to open your bios setup screen. From there, you can set your boot order. Change number one to the drive that you want. Also, its a ton easier to burn to a DVD using poweriso and boot from that, but you still need to change the boot order. What it does is reads and checks for the OS on each drive. So if your boot order is

1. c:
2. DVD drive
3. f:

It would scan your hard drive for an os first then the dvd drive, then a removable disk. Hope this helps!

 

Well that actually sounds a little to simple so I'll see what other's have to say, thanks for the input though!

 

srsly, that will work lol, if it is reading the os on the hard drive it is not going to get to the flash drive to read the os from that... Thats all I had to do, the hardest part is formatting the USB but If you have the os on it then you did that already.

 

Hm, alright I'll give it a shot on one of my extra pc's just to be on the safe side and let you know how it goes then! Will update here in a few, thanks again!
