Hey guys, I recently gave in and went ahead and downloaded the free trial.

    Here are my questions:

Is it worth playing for someone who likes doing most things solo?

How good of a computer do I need? My computer is pretty recent yet gameplay is still a little choppy...not enough to make me quit but enough to be mildly annoying and noticeable.

How long does it take to get used to moving with the arrow keys? I'm so used to click and move because of Runescape, I seem to be terrible at locking onto targets fighting because of this.

How steep is the learning curve? It seems like so much to digest at once...how on earth will I get used to all of this?

I saw the bundle for like just 20 bucks and a first month membership included...worth it guys? But remember..I'm not sure my computer is powerful enough. How can I improve my gameplay? I'll try to get a spec list together

There's a lot of portions of the game you can play solo, but Blizz also made it where you can play in groups as well without having to know anyone in the game, Blizzard makes it so you can pair up with people through looking for group and you can raid, do battlegrounds, and do dungeons without having to look for party members through trade chat or have friends play with you. I think what I posted is what you meant by solo like you don't need to know many people in game to do stuff.

You don't really need a really good computer, try going into your settings and put the graphics to low or fair depending on how well it runs on both.

Try using "wasd" to move instead of arrow keys and use your mouse to turn your screen/ character. It is kind of hard at first but it gets a lot easier. Go into your keybinds and change your strafe left key to "a" and strafe right key to "d" and you can hold down the right click button on your mouse to turn your character. It's kind of weird at first but after a couple of hours you should get the hang of it.

The learning curve isn't very hard, blizzard basically teaches you the class as you progress through the game and once you reach endgame content if you want to improve your rotation check out guides on:
    http://elitistjerks.com/
    http://www.skill-capped.com/
    http://www.noxxic.com/wow
    http://www.manaflask.com/

The $20 is enough to get you to level 80 and through wrath of lich king, you would still have to buy cataclysm (to get to 85) and then mists of pandaria (to get to 90). I think your computer should be able to handle it but you can check here if you have the requirements:
    https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/minimum-system-requirements-for-world-of-warcraft

It isn't very intensive graphics but it can be if you're playing on higher settings, you can easily run the game properly with low settings and projected textures on (helps show stuff to move out of on floor).

Thank you so much for typing this all out man! Lucky me, they had a deal to get the Battle Chest for just 5 bucks! :D

Fixing the settings did eliminate the choppiness! Yes!!

So I think it takes up to 3 days for my guy to be converted to a normal account and not a trial one, since I bought the digital version.

Are there any recommended places to start? What's the best way to get some gold and starter armor going?

Thanks a bunch for the help

Follow the quest lines. As the game is currently, money is a lot easier to come by than it was a few years back, simply through quest and monster loot c:

Questing will make you a lot of money and should fund your expenses until end game, I recommend only buying up to 280% flying because 310% is a waste if you're still trying to make gold. Armor and weapons will all get replaced as you progress, I recommend checking out noxxic and checking out your classes stat priority so you know which items would be an upgrade over your current items. As for starting places just follow the questlines until they turn green for you, then you want to check the message boards in major cities to see where you should go.
