    CD Drive Not working

When I insert a disk it just doesn't spin and it appears as if there is just nothing in there.

I recently reformatted so I suspect its the drivers, But I have no idea what I'm looking for.

Computer Model: Dell, Dimension 5150 , Windows Xp : Service Pack 2.

And I don't know what CD drive I have.

The easiest way would be going to the homepage of your computer's manufacturer and look up your model. I'm pretty sure it'll have all the drivers and stuff there, or at least tell you what it is.

first of all, does the little light flash a few times when you start up your PC? It might be that the power cable got disconnected, otherwise Windows SHOULD auto-recognize it.
