Mid champs

As of right now who do you think the strongest mid's are?

 

IMO my favorites are Zyra, Lux, Ahri, Orianna, Kha'z, Zed, Pantheon. It all depends on your playstyle.


Interestingly, the average winrate of "meta" mids is below 50%. That means the real meta seems to prefer "top" lane assassins, like Khaz and Zed as I mentioned.

 

Looking at general statistics for everyone paints a bad picture of how strong a champ is.

When an 'OP FOTM' champ is first discovered, a small group of skilled players cause the winrate to skyrocket. Everyone quickly swarms to instalocking it when they have no idea how to play the champ and the winrate plummets, then Riot nerfs that champ, causing the winrate to plummet even further, before slowly rising again as all of the noobs jump ship and those same, small, dedicated skilled players continue to play that champ.
This is exactly what happened with Kha'Zix, where his winrate sunk to 44% the week of his nerfs, but still sees frequent tournament play by Gambit Gaming, among others.

In my experience, if you want to find out who's really bullshit overpowered right now, cross the skill cap and popularity of champs with their winrate - if a champ is ridiculously popular, has a high skill cap, and still maintains a decent win ratio, they are definitely overpowered.

in my opinion it completely comes down to the player

 

Ad Mids like kha arent even included

 

I remember when ADCs were playing mid...

I don't have the statistics to back it up, but I believe Lux, Swain, and Kassadin are some of the best.

 

Definitely not Lux. She's good early, but in this new bruiser meta she does not compare to assassins.


All pro players have stated that AD mids are extremely annoying to lane against. This puts Zed and KhaZix in the top

 

I ended up buying zed, he is a really good champion. I dropped like 20 kills or so my first game with him. Didn't realize till like the 3rd game that his ult actually makes a clone behind the person. Once I figured that out he was a lot funner.
Actually been playing a good bit of kassidin lately, he is amazing mid-late game, I was nuking the adc instantly and anyone else I rifted near.

Zed was the strongest mid imo last patch, haven't played since his changes though

 

Zed is strong in any lane, one of the champions who are hard to counter.

That's pretty much the only reason anyone really thinks he's OP.

 

zed, talon, fizz, ashe, lee sin, master yi, xin zhao

IMO i use all of them and they are all great for mid,

 

Lets be really honest, any champ is OP if you are good / get fed.

Fizz all in level 2 is such a good tactic right now. He is all around a super mega troll good champ and I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a fun, good, and some what skillfull champ, Fizz is the way to go.

I don't know what trash you're building on Lux (or what trash others are building), but she still does a shit ton of damage late game even after her nerfs. Just because a "pro" says something doesn't make it true.
