Effigy droprates possibly changed ?

Im wondering if anyone else has experienced a more frequent drop rate of the rare little guys. I have received 1 in my entire runescape career ... until today i got one on a jungle strykewyrm task and then ANOTHER on a daggonth task. I havent been able to find any info as to there was a hidden update or not, either way just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if i have just gotten super lucky. one big step closer to overloads . TIA

 

Actually, Jagex made them less common a few months (?) ago. I used to get 3-5 a day botting Ankous, now I don't get any. You got really lucky.

 

yeah it they had increased the drop rate, they would have made an official announcement which they havent yet. You just got lucky.

 

idk, had 2 of them 14 kills apart at bandos earlier, and didn't open the first before getting second.

 

It's actually pretty funny. They said they were getting rid of effigies because it made it unfair that people stocked up and got tons of experience. A few weeks/months later they released the Squeal of Fortune.

 

If they did improve the effigies drop rate they would have made an announcement and told everyone about it. You probably just got REALLY lucky because i have botted waterfiends for the past week at least 6-8 hours a day and I only got 1 effigie.

 

They dont always make announcements as to when they change things, especially droprates hence HIDDEN update. Though it seems to be the general consensus it was just a stroke of luck, thanks.

 

Effigies are a lot more common if they are on slayer task I believe. Effigies + rare drops were nerfed ages ago though I believe.

 

I used to love it when effigies dropped often, trust me though they've not increased the rates, just a streak of luck.

 

They were in the effigy nuke a few months ago

 

This update has been out for awhile now, and I really hope they change it back. I miss collecting effigies :\ really motivated me to train my Slayer.

 

I wish that they were more common. I rarely get them. Maybe 1 every few slayer tasks.

 

I'm pretty sure you got lucky because I haven't gotten an effigy in 15 slayer tasks

btw @sirmatthew 15 slayer tasks isnt much of a streak.. considering i have gotten 3 in my 157 slayer task streak. the question was if anyone HAD noticed an increase as 2 in one day a task apart just seemed lucky. nothing about the previous DECREASE in drops ect
