First WoW Class

As title says.

I am about to start wow soon, and never played it before. What was your first class?

Also, what classes to you recommend for someone starting out?

 

Warlock was my first class.

I recommended warlock as well, as well as a druid. Also heard leveling a pally/hunter is good for starters as well.

 

I was thinking of a Hunter with Beast Mastery.

I know Mages are rubbish, because of their health and armour. Warlock are similar aren't they?

 

Every class is good now.

Hunter used to be the best one, due to they deal fair damage, and u can have ta pet to tank your quests.
Now blizz fixed all the classes, giving better skills at lower levels, making them all a lot easier, and funnier.

Now if you like dungeons, i woudl recomend a tank, so you can get faster dungeon finder queues. A healer ita fast too, but being dps... takes a lot of time to get into a dungeon.

My advice, its to get a druid or a paladin, because you can assume all three roles with the same toon.

 

Make a paladin. They are very easy and versatile and great for people who are just starting out.

 

Rouges and noobs have one thing in common.

They both pick locks. Don't pick a lock!!!!!

In all honesty id pick druid I've played since vanilla and i have 8 80s (bah expacs!) and the first I picked to raise to 85 was my druid because I can do something different every day as a druid if i wanted.

 

Mages and locks should have about the same amount of health as other people around their gear level. They do have pretty low armor do to the fact they can only wear cloth, but they both come packing some pretty awesome defensive abilities.

I'd go for the hunter, they're a great starter class and pretty damn fun to play.

 

Hunter and Paladins are generally good starting classes.

 

I would suggest a versitile class.

Paladin, Shaman, or Druid.

When I started my first class I rolled was a hunter, then a priest and now a mage (Not that I like them, just good for making money).

 

id say a pally, you can heal yourself, tank a shit load of monsters with a minimal risk of dieing and from what i know there the most wanted tanks for dungeons and what not. you can do that or a druid, the druid is pretty much the same thing but in order to heal yourself you'll have to get out of bear form (tanking) making you have less armor and health, which MAY get you killed., other then that pallies and druids are the same on terms of being good starter

And if you dont know what tanking is, its when you can deal with about 3+ monsters attacking you at once and have a less chance of dying because you have better armor bonuses. Say you play a mage, mages can only wear cloth armor, which is the lowest armor in the game pretty much. Now being a warrior or a pally you can use mail at low levels, and then plate, those being the two best in the game which means they give more defence compared to cloth, therefore letting you take more damage and have a less risk of dying then say having 3 monsters on you while wearing cloth. Get it :\

 

My first class was a mage pre-cata. Big mistake lol, leveling took far too long as being out of mana and conjuring low forms of water was tedious. I realized how slow it was because after hitting 80 mage I BoA'd out a ret pally and hit 80 in like 1/4 the time lol.

I recomment a ret pally for that reason, go tauren for increased HP and a free stun ability.

 

I think I will be going as a hunter or a paladin.

I thought of hunter because it looks like a fun class to be. I remember trying out a paladin, and they are great to tank with

 

Warlocks get a beast ass demon at level 10 (demonology tree, felguard)

 

Shaman. Best class all round. Playing hybrids as a first class teaches you the game.

 

I started with mage he is 85 atm...its good but fucking cata dungeons take ~30 min - 1h using random dungeon...thats with any dps class im guessing. if i were you make either a pally or a druid cause you can dps, tank, or heal. makes dungeons and questing way easier. if you a pally or druid you can heal yourself and fight well without having to stop and eat to regain health after very couple fights.

 

I started as a Warrior, then various other characters, i didn't stick to the one, i was "experimenting".

Then it lead off to a Hunter, which became my first 80.

 

Im like i just started like a week ago i choosed rogue.
