Unprofessional alias? New Alias? + Donate through RS GP?

Hello everyone, I've looked around the forum lately and I've talked to a few people about this.

Looking through Sythe I can see some fairly original or more so legitimate usernames.
I was wondering what does everyone think of my alias? Should I do a name change?

Does anyone here actually not think to trade with someone because of their username? But purely not just for obvious reasons: Scammer221, Banvader501, Dragonkiller5502?

Last question; do you like your username?

Obviously getting a name change would mean for asking a self-ban and making a new account or falling under the major name change request:

• Have donated a minimum of $200
• Have a join date which dates to at least a year prior to their name change request.
• Have 2FA enabled at the time of their request and pass an IP check (To enable 2FA visit http://www.sythe.org/twofactor.php )
• Have not previously changed their name via the major name change system
• Must pass a staff lounge poll
• Will be given a User Title linking back to your old name for anywhere between 6-12 months.

Do donation takers accept huge RS Donations?

 

Hey man, it's really up to you. Whilst there are some professional/original names, there are also some that are less so which seem to be successful and trade a lot. Unfortunately, Sythe staff can't issue self bans anymore. However, you can let them know that you'll be abandoning this account and starting a new one, which is fine, as long as there is no interaction between your 2 accounts (vouching, trading etc). With regards to the donations, yes. Most if not all bond holders accept RSGP and I personally used 07 GP for my first $50.

Also, yes I like my username. I was going to change it but it's grown on me and I guess everyone has came to know me by this now. Somebody's name wouldn't put me off trading, though I do always appreciate a good name!

 

I wouldn't worry about it too much in all honestly. Your username won't impact you significantly, and your username seems fine in all honestly. If you ever get to a huge business status, in all likeliness you would have donated a portion of your profits to the point where $200 donor isn't too much of an issue.

If someone was called Scammer221 or Banvader501 I probably wouldn't trade them, but there's no issue with Dragonkiller5502 . Your username would not impact my decision to trade you, and I look at other factors much more.

Lastly, yes, I like my username.
