    TheShowerScene Appeal

Hello, I am "TheShowerScene" I am appealing my ban which was a result of this report: http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer-archive/1723363-scammed-tribot-mod.html

I had not known I was banned until today, as I was not notified of a dispute being opened against me on this site.

Allow me to explain why I feel this ban to be erroneous. I will address each issue numerically to keep this neat and legible. I'd also

    1. In the user's video where he claims to show my proxies are "flagged" by getting instantly muted upon account creation is not proof at all. What the user fails to mention, and conveniently left out is that prior to the recording of the video he had been banned for macro majoring on that proxy. He admitted this to me, and to another Tribot moderator. What this means is he himself could have very well flagged the proxy resulting in the instant mute when creating new accounts with it. Due to this, this is not proof at all.

I can also show my records database to a moderator privately that shows 1,700+ proxy sales, to some 250-300 some odd users. Out of all these users I've had 7 complain about being banned on Runescape. What they were banned for? macroing major. As you know, Jagex has stepped up their detection so this is nothing to due with me, but with they were botting. If they were flagged, more people would have complained.

    2. Regarding "false advertising" I never advertised my proxies as "virgin" or "unused" it is impossible for me to know if someone previously had used a proxy on Runescape. It is also impossible to deliver virgin brand new IPv4 IP's/Proxies as there are none left in the world due to IPv4 exhaustion (they are all used up). You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv4_address_exhaustion

Regardless of this, I never sold the same proxy to multiple users during the period they purchased it for. My website database marked a sold proxy as "true" and would not re-sell it to anyone after that. Assuring each user got their private proxy.

    3. The user pointed out in a video that their was a malicious exploit someone could use to gain access to other peoples proxies. This is due to the fact that in order to sell proxies instantly I have to buy 50-100 proxies at the same time. These proxies can only have one username and password.

However, each 50-100 proxies I would always set a new password, the IP's were not in close numerical range or always on the same sub net. However, I do admit some were.

In the users video he shows himself accessing other members proxies by trying this method of trial and error. However, the only proxies he managed to access were from a user named "Skilled" (again, i can privately show this in my records). Skilled as another user posting with this same user. It is my strong belief, though I have no evidence Skilled simply told him the IPS he purchased so that he could log onto them for the sake of the video.

At this point after seeing the video, I had taken down my site and stopped sales and was going to switch to IP binded proxies. However, the same exploit could still be abused. Allow me to explain:

I buy 100 proxies, these come with a white list where I can add users IPs. A user can purchase 1 proxy and get their IP on the whitelist. Now, through trial and error he can attempt to access other proxies since his IP is now whitelisted.

Because of this fact, I went ahead and discontinued sales permanently and took down my site permanently as to avoid users possibly being effected by this exploit. Especially now that it became public and many users saw first hand how to do it.

    5. Just because this exploit existed, there is still no proof to date anyone had used it, or that it resulted in bans or proxies being flagged for my users. Just pure speculation. Regardless, I discontinued sales permanently to err on the side of caution. I have never had intentions in all of my career on sythe to scam anyone. All my trades I've always abided by the rules and followed through on my end. I feel it is unfair to ban me because of a malicious exploit that a 3rd part could have used with no evidence anyone even used the exploit maliciously.

    6. Regarding "ignoring refund request": This user opened a dispute against me off-site which is still on going, which I did reply to. It has not concluded. I do not know how i then "ignored" this users refund request. My answering the dispute should show I did the opposite.

I leave you with this: If someone discovered a malicious exploit on sythe but had no proof it was used, and sythe acted quickly to fix it, would you still hold yourself culpable of an exploit a 3rd part could have committed?

I ask that my ban be lifted, as I feel it is erroneous and I feel I've addressed all points why here. If any evidence is needed, or any questions need to be asked please go ahead and let me know.

The report is valid as far as I can see, can another moderator pitch in and verify this?
    Thanks.
