Good to finally see a forum cracking down on things like this.

Sick of seeing people telling each other to kill them selves over the internet and getting away with it.

Good thing is that there's one less MM. Less competition.

 

A forum ban was much too light for a situation like that one. When you're suicidal, anything someone else might say might push you over the edge. Been there myself.

 

The sticky says trolling in that forum is a perm forum ban. The punishment that was issued for trolling was not a perm forum ban.

 

He wasn't trolling, he was telling someone to kill them self.

He's had enough chances.

Rules can be changed depending on the severity, telling a potentially mentally unstable person to kill themselves is pretty damn severe.

If he'd made up some stupid story to get attention he'd be trolling, if he outright tells someone to commit suicide he is not.

 

No, if he says something stupid to get attention he's trolling. You don't need to make up a story. That's clearly an attention seeking post to make him look cool among his friends.

 

Who got banned? and I agree with the ban 100% if they were telling another member to commit suicide (in the Personal Support & Assistance im guessing as I was reading through that thread where the guy wanted to commit suicide). Also that is much worse than scamming in my eyes and the fact that anyone could say that shows what kind of person they are and that kind of person shouldn't be allowed to post amongst us.

 

No problem. Hopefully people will get the message and stop trying to troll in that forum now. It's a place for people to express serious problems and receive genuine, helpful advice.

 

Yeah kindof a stupid thing to do like even if it was troll bait or not it's obvious that forum is pretty strict when it comes to trolling - you can't be too obvious. People like JuvinilePunk (and many other's i've seen) can troll and get away with it though, cause they are smart about it they don't full on tell you to kill yourself they give seemingly good advice laced with a bit of fun humor.

Telling someone to kill themselves isn't funny.

You aren't seeing what happened. He told a potentially mentally unstable person to end their existence whey they are going through a hard time. Do you realize what could come of that? He could have pushed him over the edge and had a hand in his death. Forget what the stickies say, that is a horrible thing to even THINK of saying to someone in a bad situation.

 

I agree with the decision to ban them. I've been sad many times and I come on these forums and runescapecommunity forums to express my feeling, because I feel that people here are respectable (for most part, those who're not know who they are). Telling someone to kill themselves when you have no idea what they're going through is plain stupid and immature.
