OSRS Money making method (not a bot)

Sorry, wasn't 100% on which section to put this in, so though general would be my best option.
I'm yet to find a bot for this method, and I have searched, so personally I have been doing this manually to make some extra gold on 07 when I've had the spare time.

I was on zybez' 07 price guide looking for something that would be good to harvest/buy and sell/bot to make a bit of gold on runescape. As I was looking through I noticed that wool (just standard wool that you shear off of a sheep) sells for 437 gold each.

So I then went to the sheep pen-farm-thing just by lumbridge castle and started to shear sheep, I did this for roughly an hour (probably between 45-55 mins) and I made just over 100k. Although this is not great money, it may be worth while if you wanted to make a start-up fund to do merching etc. Also could potentially be a good method if you wanted something f2p to do to make money but you didn't want to bot.

I dare say many people already know about this but though I would share it just incase people were starting to run out of money making ideas

if this works then more power to you, can't see it being profitable however

 

I only did it until I got 100k and then used that to start merching, but it was an easy way to me to get some decent money without needing any decent stats. I just thought it might be a good method for people, mainly with all level 1's, who wanted to get a bit of starter cash together for armour etc

 

Yeah, a lot of obscure quest items can sell for a surprising amount (wool/ball of wool is one of these).

 

Might work to make you 1M, anything after that will be slow and painful.

 

Yeah I wouldn't recommend using it as a primary form of gp, but the price of wool is considerably high considering how easy it is to get, found it a fairly quick and easy way to get together a bit of cash, could even be used just to get the money for a bond so that they can then do members quests/items which are worth more

 

Yeah that's a pretty good idea for beginners to start off and get some cash and possibly get a bond like you said and then actually move on to better and more efficient methods.

 

I've got a few bots running this, and you make 15-20k an hour at most.

 

I think the price of wool has gone down a lot from when I did it, at the time of me doing it the price of zybez' was accurate, so I asssume either many people found this method at the same time or something else happened. Either way, 20k for an hours work could still come in handy for a new player wanting to get some money for skilling
