Is this the email jagex sends emails to you with?

Im asking because i appealed for my account to be unlocked. Im wary to click the link, but if you guys can verify this for me, then please.

 

Yes, but people canake it look like that. Hover over the links they send with the email and check for any differences. Ex: runoscope.com

Hover over the link. If it isn't runescape.com then don't click it, plain and simple. You should always check your inbox on the RS site before you click on emails anyway.

 

Very true. I get lots of phishing emails on a daily basis and i know this for a fact.

 

Yes, be very careful with emails like that, NEVER open them if they are in your junk mail inbox!

 

Generally don't do anything via your email inbox for runescape. if you get an email concerning a black mark open a new tab and go to the website via there

Jagex doesn't unlock accounts anymore. They stopped after they got feedback from the last Runefest. I doubt that email is really from them

No, they changed it to [email protected] a few months ago.

@OP: If you did submit an unlock for you account, just verify the link is a real secure.runescape.com variant and you'll be fine.

 

As long as you hover over the email and it shows the real Runescape.com, you're fine. If you click on the link and there is a green security bar in the address bar when you go to put in your password, you should be fine.
