Information:​

The server has been resurrected due to the efforts by SuF. We're currently hosted on a 1GB host, and will look to upgrade if activity should warrant a better server. Donations are, as always, accepted and very appreciated, but there are no perks as of yet. The staff will consist of Operators only, and therefore only a select few highly trusted friends of mine and SuF's will receive staff, so please don't ask. If you're trusted enough, you'll know. The server is entirely survival. Staff will NOT give materials under any circumstances. Everything you could ever want is available if you just look for it. A new map has been generated, we're working to get the map from Sythe's "official" server if users so wish, but it's unlikely. Default users have permission to create, join, and leave guilds at their choosing with "Factions" commands. You may also claim your land where only you and your guild members may build. There currently is no spawntown or safezone, but we're working to create a neutral hub for all users to trade and interact peacefully. When created, regular users will not be able to build inside the safezone or harm fellow players.

It's going to be up and down in the next 30 minutes or so, I'm trying to set up permissions. Annoying as fuX

 

Oh well, so long as this means it will work flawlessly in the future then I'm not complaining.

 

If I were you i'd setup a whitelist and have people post in the thread before they could join that way we could narrow down griefers much easier and limit them overall.

 

My anti-grief is near flawless, we'll have no problem with griefers. But this also means the restriction on usable items will be bigger than some of you may like.

Water, lava, TNT, and fire placement is only allowed to be done by mod+ etc

 

That's good enough for me, if I make a lava waterfall or something I would request an op to do it rather than have the ability to do it myself and risk the world getting greifed at the same time.

 

Well when tnt is placed next to a current it automatically becomes an entity. you can use that to get past tnt placing plugins. I would turn the damage from it off so even if they did it would just explode and not change anything. Anyway I am getting tired and I will check out the server in the morning. Looking forward to playing with you guys :]

 

Meh permissions will have to wait I guess. If anyone knows how to do permissions, please let me know.

Added sidekick and towny, but towny doesn't work correctly. It says it's not up to date. PortalGun is likewise not up to date

 

Spent an hour on the server, made a mine. Looking really good. I love the nickname plugin as it's dead useful for changing to our Sythe names so everyone doesn't get confused. The only thing I can think for improvement is: Make sure server is as greif proof as possible. And make sure the server doesn't corrupt again, make back ups. Really nice server, join now if your on Sythe!

 

I like the server so far, just some permissions issues need to be fixed.

 

I've been taking hourly manual backups, I don't intend on losing this map like the last. Thanks for the feedback!

Permissions is a high priority. I need to get in touch with someone who actually knows how to do it. It's one of the only things really that I never learned how to do.

 

logged on and got raped by mobs, perhaps light up the spawn area a tad bit better

 

Server is looking great, we just need to fill up the city with some nice structures. Be nice to post this server on the Minecraft forums and get some more people to play as well.

 

Yes, made the mine entrace yesterday, looking quite groovy looking. When we get all the plots filled up with good builds the server will start looking nice and you could screenshot it for the original post.
