Is chaotic staff worth it?

I am close to getting another chaotic. I first had a ring of vigour and chaotic maul and I lost them both. Here are my stats:

80 Attack
99 Strength
45 Defence
55 Prayer
85 Range
95 Magic

I already have arcane stream necklace so with chaotic staff and my max mage gear I think I would be around +108 magic bonus, with +35% damage. I could easily get my magic to 99, problem is I dont know how useful it would be for pking. I have a friend that could teleblock for me, but everyone just prays mage and runs away. I am done with honor pking, because I lost my cmaul while I was honor pking to a stupid rusher.

The staff of light is pretty close stat wise but lacks the extra 5%, but I dont know if that is worth it. Or should I get a rapier for hybriding? Or rigour or chaotic crossbow..

 

In your situation, I would not get the chaotic staff until you got the rest of them, the chaotic staff's improvement over the SoL is minor compared to the other chaotics' improvements.

 

Rapier. Or don't get anything at all and quit pking in +1!

 

rapier, stream+sol is pretty much the same as stream+cstaff

 

Chaotic Staff. It wrecks.

 

Staff is just ownage. Search for youtube max hits with barrage and this staff

 

Yeah, I'd say get it. Much more better.

 

With stats like that I suggest getting a chaotic staff AFTER you have both rapier + maul.

 

No get it after you have everything you wanted from dungeoneering. A 5% boost over the Staff of Light isn't something that you need to waste 200k tokens on.

It looks cool and if you only hybrid or mage then get it.

i would say dont get it, get an arcane stream instead, because for 200k tokens you only get a weapon thats 5% better then sol

 

5% is a big difference Zerk.

Get an arcane stream / cs.

 

rapier is significantly better than whip

cmaul is significantly better than a gs, disreguarding ags spec


cstaff is 5% better than sol. 5 %. thats it.

maul > rapier > staff (with stream)

 

Technically Cstaff ONLY vs. SoL ONLY is a 33.333% improvement, disregarding the superior magic bonus.

 

If you like to do castle wars and some soul wars, but not only pking, then I'd say get the cstaff.

 

Don't get it until you get your maul back and a rapier as well.

Yes with chaotic staf and arcanestream neck its BESTLY hit 450s or so mage pot + prayer well 500+ i think
