Optimus Anti-Bot System to be Activated June or Early July

So, after seeing around the RS forums, I found this:

So it looks like it's going to be back to Simba, SCAR, RiD, Runedream, and any other color bots I'm forgetting, just like right after the first nuke.

What do you guys think? Tbh, I couldn't be more excited. RS was really fantastic right after the first bot nuke, as I was still able to bot all the same, since I use RiD, and I was able to make 1500k an hour easily with my bots, and that's what it will be back to. I'm also super excited because I'm a Gold seller, and this will mean gold prices are going to shoot up.

Thoughts?

 

The game needs this change, in fact it craves for it.
If this would continue Runescape would die, so I don't think its bad they take a big part op the bots out!

I'm curious to the effects, if bot writers will be able to get back up and if this will mean that colour bots will develop theirselves better.

I'm watching this with interest!

 

Nuking the bots really hurt Jagex financially; just look at the Squeel-wheel crap or that Mad May garbage -- or the video ads. It looks like this is another nail in the Runescape coffin. Oh, how ironic that enforcing their own rules is leading to their insolvency.

 

Actually, I think they might be just in time to save their game.
They atleast stept up against some bad factors, and as soon as they get some new players and more cash I'm sure the quality of the game will evolve again.

I too wonder why they did launch such shit as the squeel-wheel, no idea which 'genius' came up with that one.. >_<

 

I'm sitting on a little gold, but I doubt this will drive the prices up. The first didn't cause a huge increase like people were wanting, and this one will have even less of an effect seeing as most of the injection bots aren't even 100% capable yet.

Also this is supposed to be targeting color bots too, so this should be rather interesting.

 

I am excited for the 2nd nuke too. Just hope that it will not affect colour bots too much.

 

Bot isn't even the problem right now.

The game is plain shit at the moment, and as long as the squeal of fail is still in the game, people won't respect the game....


As for the bots, it wouldn't to much to damage them apart from the injection ones... so have fun

These were aimed for 3d games downloaded games. For a browser game like runescape that use mouse to click.. Color are wayyy more effective.

 

What bot were you making 1500k/hour with?

I hope this takes out injection bots, but I can't see it doing any damage to colour bots unless they make rs black and white -____-

 

Msot likely they added the wheel to reduce the loss they will take with this bot nuke. Last one dropped the bots but also the membership fees which im sure hit the top level guys hard. This time with the wheel they are attempting to soften the blow the bot nuke does to their own wallets

 

Still wouldn't effect color bots. If you look at black and white you have to use varying shades of grey to do shading and such and it wouldn't be hard to find the varying shades. It would take a week maybe two at most to get the bots up and going. To my current knowledge there is no way for them to stop color botting, unless the game is made unplayable for the legit players.

 

What did you think about colors changing every time you log in.
And with change, I mean a lil bit, so legit players won't notice anything, while bots do.

 

they do change color little bit. They did that wayy before and still exisit today.
We just used tolerance and still use tolerance.

 

I used RiDiverse for Superglass Make with Mousekeys and Full bank. Easily earned me 1000-1500k an hour every day up until injection bots returned.

The thing is with RiD, (I'm sure the same concept applies for Simba and SCAR as well), is that as long as humans can identify objects, NPCs, items, et cetera in game, so can color bots. It's all down to some clever programming.

Also, RiD won't be touched by Optimus, and I doubt Simba will see much interference, if any.
