Legacy mode impact on osrs

Will jagex's introduction of Legacy mode have a significant impact on the osrs servers?

My thoughts? Doubtful

Reason? People have spent the last year playing a simplistic yet super fun game on the osrs servers. Rs3 is still difficult to run for people with sub par computers. Nobody will be putting away the amount of hard work they have done on the osrs servers to go back to a game that was filled with shitty updates. What are your thoughts?

 

... Why would it hinder osrs? There is a reason why it's called oldschool.

 

Legacy Mode will do nothing,

it will still be kind of rs3

it still has no specs and dual wields right?

 

I will still play both.

07 is just classic. can't take away the joy from players.

 

I still don't know if the legacy mode will have the old combat level system...If it does I will defiantly play it..If it doesn't. Then I will not.

 

They've already stated that EoC is their main combat system and that EoC will be more powerful than Legacy for literally everything. Basically, Legacy seems to be a silly little feature that won't be what people think it is, and Old School RuneScape will remain my one and only RS.

Plus, have you seen the planned updates for OSRS this summer? Looks bomb as hell.

 

Seriously. I'm hype as fuck for the new continent. Hope we get a bunch of new quest for it too.

 

What is the proposed new content?

 

I honestly think it will have little to no effect, however; the first 1-2 weeks maybe you will see drastic increase on EoC servers..

 

dont really think there will be a big impact, maybe for the few first days the gp will crash and eoc gp will go up but the market will eventually recover

 

Temporary crashes are almost inevitable however after a few weeks everyone will realize it isn't great and there will be a resurgence of demand back into the market.

 

Ima play both if legacy is what i expect of it. Only gna play legacy to try to make bank staking though

 

i wouldn't hope for legacy to be great, due to jagex.
and ultimately, legacy mode will still have eoc integrated, so it can NOT be old-school pking style, so 07 won't die.

 

OSRS won't die, unless jagex kills it.

 

I doubt Legacy will affect OSRS. It is even possible that Legacy would suck so much that even EOC players would switch to Old School.
