    Any excuse to make money. They can't use this to justify the high prices because they are still marking everything up from whatever they buy them for.

    Thailand Floods Raise Hard Drive Prices.

    China is also choosing to embargo their rare Earth metals exports, which is having an effect on prices as well. Kinda BS, they only have 30% of the world's rare Earth metals yet they supply 95% of them. They're in pretty much every electronic device so I would expect this to have widespread effects until someone else opens up a mine.
