It seems kind of pointless to me unless you are like marathon gaming, like 16+ hours. You are going to have to break anyways which will give your eyes rest...

True but some say that colors are better. I know some baseball players use them for seeing the seams better

They'll reduce eye strain, but not much else. Unless you game for very long periods of time they're kind of a waste of money. Even then I'd have trouble justifying it.

The only reason I could see for buying them is if you need prescription glasses and you just so happen to want Gunnars. If your eyesight is fine, don't bother.

As far as I know, the amber color is to reduce strain on the eye rather than to enhance the gaming. Seeing as most of the backgrounds in today's shooters are grey, blue, or sand-colored, I'd say that I'd rather not have an amber-tinted lens because it'll wash out the background.

Idk though, I've never tried one. That's all speculation, and I'm likely wrong. I wear glasses and can't wear contacts, so I don't imagine ever being able to game with a set of these unless I dropped a few c-notes on the prescription variety.

True the thing for me is that I dont wear glasses and I usually play in the dark which can't be good for me. But I have heard mixed things I wish I could try before I buy

My local Best Buy had a stand set up where you could try on a pair. You could also buy them there too. Worth a shot maybe?

I personally use them for baseball it helps you see the seams a lot better. Im a catcher/pitcher so I only use them when I catch and bat. I say it helped me a little bit with seeing the ball break and what-not.
