    ~Tank Staking Guide~ And training

If you like this guide please buy my updated and new guide on tank staking secrets.

    Requirements:
-Brand new account (or one with 1 mage, 1 prayer) and attack and strength below at or below 40.
-If you take the expensive route you will need around 10 Million GP (or more depending on armor)
-If you take the cheap route you will need about 800k maybe?

Goals: these are the goals you need to be a good staker
    40 attack
    1-40 strength (lower the better)
    60 def.
    50 or 60 range

    Naming your range staker

Names very on prefernces, you can make a trick name and two accounts, one a great staker and the other not, to try and trick the person to think the two are one in the same. (Not Recomended)
While I like names that stay away from range implied in the title (ex. R4ng3 pur3 0wn3), and like names that still relate to the game. (ex. Dragon killer316)

    Getting started (all)

On Tut Island only do one mage spell and one bone burying (required to do one) and get range to 3 on tut island. Also get as many arrows as it will allow for you to take. Once you get to the mainland head to the chicken pen. At this time if you have money, get a iron skimmy and iron square shield along with some good armor. Now kill chickens and cow’s until you’re strength is around 20-30 and you’re attack is 40 with defense at 40-50 also (goblins work good also, gaurds are ok when you start reaching these goals)

Now get membership if you don’t already have

    Leveling Defence (all)

With the stats you should now have, rock crabs should be very easy for you, I recommend a rune skimmy because it’s fast. Also armor with good attack bones’ are great. Get your defense to 60!

    Leveling Range (Exspensive)

Now, go to a quest help website and do Dwarf Cannon. Once Completed go buy a cannon and around 10k cannon balls (while training only try to have about 1k on you uncase you die). Once you have these go buy some: rune boots, rune chain, rune full helm. Or if your very very wealthy, replace those with dragon items, (Not recommended as died 4-5 times training with cannon because I forgot to eat.)

Then go to Castlewars, walk south until you meet the ocean, then you should see an Ogre directly guarding a cave enterance near some ore rocks. Go in the cave. If it is the right cave it should say “wow, that tunnel went a long way.” Then there should be some colomns that support nothing, get you cannon set up there. (It is the only place in that proximity that the cannon will set up)Note: if it says “your cannon has almost decayed” pick it up and then place it back down again.

    Leveling Range (Cheap)

Go buy about 10k iron darts or knives. Then go back to the Rock Crabs you were just training your defense on. The best armor is the blue dragon full, and a coif, were no boots and no shield as this greatly lowers your range bonus’s. Pick up the iron darts/knives that show back up on the ground. All I can say is good look and that its gunna take a while

How to stake with your new staker

    If you got these goal

    50 attack
    1-40strength
    60 defense
    60 range

Then this is how you are going to stake.

Buy Obby rings, obby cape and rune boots and obby shield and granite shield

If you have enough money, get dragon legs and Fury

If you don’t have Dragon legs stake like this

No helm, no necklace, no body, no legs, yes boots, no prayer, no pots, no food, no drink, no movement, no ammo for range, and no rings no magic, no spec. shield yes.

The Granite shield is better against range attacks then the obby shield, so if your battleing a ranger use the granite shield

If you have the dragon legs and/or fury stake like above just with legs on and necklace on for which ever one you have

Who to stake: people with NO defense on high scores and Strength within 5-10 levels of your range depending on their attack. NEVER STAKE LVL 70 ATTACK PEOPLE, THEY WILL WHIP YOU!

    If you got these goals

    50 attack
    Low strength
    60 def
    70 range

    You have some options

You can stake like the person with only 60 range or use an x bow

What you need: x bow, bolt racks, obby rings, obby cape, obby shield, rune boots, granite shield and dragon legs(optional) and Fury (optional)

Stake like the person with 60 range except turn on ammo, also watch out for people with people with 45+ agailty because they probably have the Crystal bow and will own you.

Turn on legs if you have dragon legs, and necklace if you have fury.

Once again Granite shield is better then obby shield on range attacks.

Note: The x bow is better then obby rings so you can defeat higher levels with the x bow.

Who to stake: people with no defense on high scores, below 70 attack, their strength withen 5-10 levels of your range depending on their attack level. NEVER STAKE PEOPLE WITH 70 ATTACK. THEY WILL WHIP YOU.

    Watch out for rule changers.

Don’t stake people with levels very far below your’s they are cheating, bug abusing.

If you’re not sure if they rules were the way you wanted, decline and go make sure they were right

World 22 is great for all level stakers.

    Enjoy!

You will mostly find other tanks nearer to you w/ these stats, you do get some Melee's that think they can own u even if Spec is off, (cuz of drag skimmy) but obby rings beat drag skimmy any day.

u would want more then 60 range because with a goal of
    "40 attack
    1-40 strength (lower the better)
    60 def.
    50 or 60 range"

you would be melee based. you want enough ranged to be ranged based.

You can usually spot tank rangers pretty easy. I cleaned quite a few lv 40 tank rangers since I was a hybrid I used iron shield dds spec then took out obby rings and I won alot doing that.

    Great Guide ;)

Good guide but I find it's better to keep attack at an extremely low level.
(However, takes a long while to train def but is worth not having a few extra combat levels.)
