Guide to Hunter 1-99.

..::Welcome to my Verified Hunter Training Guide For Levels 1-99::..​

..::Requirements::..
-Have done Priest in Peril quest (My apologies to pures)
-Self-control to be extremely patient

..::To start off, head over to Yanille::..
-Use a Ring of Duelling to teleport to Castlewars.
-Head East out the doors and South across the bridge.
-Walk east until you meet an entrance slightly to the North.
-You have arrived at Yanille.

..::From Here, head to the Hunter shop, and speak to Aleck::..



..::From the Shop, Purchase 5 box traps, 5 Butterfly Jars, 2 bird snares, a butterfly net, and a poking stick
..::You will also need to purchase 4 Small Fishing Nets, 4 Ropes, and a Lit Torch
..::Boots of Lightness, Spotted Cape, and Spottier Cape are always a bonus
..::These are the only items needed for 1-99 Hunter



Levels 01-09 -=- Crimson Swift (Items Needed: 1 Bird Snare)
..::Crimson Swifts are found Southeast of Yanille
..::Set up the trap by clicking on it, and wait until a Crimson Swift is caught.



Levels 09-15 -=- Copper Longtail (Items Needed: 1 Bird Snare)
..::These are located just South of the Piscatoris Fishing Area, on the West side of Falconer.



Levels 15-20 -=- Ruby Harvest (Items Needed: Butterfly Net, 5 Butterfly Jars)
..::Ruby Harvests are found South of Copper Longtails. You can drop the Net / Jars when level 20.



Levels 20-29 -=- Tropical Wagtail (Items Needed: 2 Bird Snares)
..::Southwest of Crimson Swifts, and south from Castlewars.



Levels 29-47 -=- Green Lizard (Items Needed: 3 Small Fishing Nets, 3 Ropes)
..::In Mort Myre Swamp, you must have done Priest in Peril to trap these.



Levels 47-59 -=- Orange Salamander (Items Needed: 3 Small Fishing Nets, 3 Ropes)
..::Orange Sallys are located in the desert, just Southeast from Al Kharad across the bridge.



Levels 59-80 -=- Red Salamander (Items Needed: 4 Small Fishing Nets, 4 Ropes)
..::Red Sallys can be found directly North of Castlewars, yielding very good experience.



Levels 80-99 -=- Red Chinchompa (Items Needed: 5 Box Traps, Unlit Torch)
..::Before catching Red Chins, you must obtain a full set of Larupia. Buy at the Grand Exchange
..::Same location as Tropical Wagtails. Refer to above.



..::Amount of Catches Needed 1-99::..

(01-09) 00,029 Crimson Swift
(09-15) 00,024 Copper Longtail
(15-20) 00,086 Ruby Harvest
(20-29) 00,080 Tropical Wagtail
(29-47) 00,416 Swamp Lizard
(47-59) 00,772 Orange Salamander
(59-80) 06,391 Red Salamander
(80-99) 41,692 Red Chinchompa

Overall Catches For 1-99 .::. 49,490

..::RED CHINCHOMPA::..

..::Basically, Michael Exp is saying to look where a Red Chinchompa spawns.
..::After locating this Spawn, simply surround it with your traps.
..::Equip a Bow / Arrows so you can shoot and kill the Chin if it escapes.
..::Log into a world with a High Amount of People so that it yields fast spawn rates.

..::Achievable XP / Hour -=- 100,000 or More

 

Great guide! However you should stick with Orange Sally's all the way until level 80. The XP rates are indeed faster. I also have a good tip that would greatly improve the XP rates for levels 80-99 with Red Chins. PM me if you want to include it in your guide.

You say stay at Orange Sally's from level 47-80? Yet, you need to constantly run back for Waterskins again and again, and the range of the traps are not closely together. Red Sally's also offer more xp as well.

I shall PM you, for I am intrigued of what you're going to say.

Yes even after running back and forth for waterskins the XP/hr rate for hunting orange sally's is slightly higher.

 

I don't think this is true, so I will not be adding it to my guide. The things I have set up in my guide are to powerlevel Hunting, and there is no way that catching the same amount of Orange Sallys will be better than Red Sallys.. especially when you are burdened by running back and forth for waterskins.

Nice, I have been raising hunter just a few mins before you posted this but any idea how long it would take to get from 52 to 83 hunter if I played like 3-4 hours a day.

Well since I am set to a task I wont go off task, I got from 16-53 hunter in a day I wanna get there by the end of the week and I started by using a guide with all same places as yours so I have been training at and will be training at places your guide suggests. btw didnt rate, 10/10 from me.


Also the other guide I was using (same as this but different pictures) said it would take about a month to 99 if you played 3 hours a day, making like 30m from chins xD

From 63-99 ... if you just Hunted Red Chins you would make approximately 33M I believe. PM me if you have any more questions

I'm currently 91 hunter (I got it to that within the first month or so hunter was released). Is there any hints you have on how to NOT get bored? I did about 17 days straight of hunter and got from 23 to 91. Was pretty bored after that.

Also, what's with the "[User Educator]" in the title? Just curious. Lol.

I had asked Nathan' where I was supposed to post the guide and he said maybe in User Educator... Then I saw that there was a sectoin for RS2 Guides..

I did this and it got me 1-66 Hunter in Two Days like the day I came back from a 5-6 months break
-That login was 3 weeks ago...
-I have trained 66-68 Hunter so far, and randomers have trained me 68-70 So far

I have no time for Hunting right now.. but maybe school will stop preventing me (Doing Homework ATM!)

 

Not to get off topic, but if you want to become a UE, then post guides and become active in the UE section. Believe me, we will take notice if you become active there. I check everyday personally, so chances are you will get noticed. Just some helpful advice! Once again thanks for the guide.

Also, you didn't answer my question about the boredom Lol.
