Guide Sales Section Return, WITH Tight Rules

I remember not too long ago, there used to be Runescape 2 Guide Sales. Now I remember that all it was, was just alot of people trying to sell a ripped guide from somewhere. I think it should return, but with strict rules. Like it needs to be verified, and maybe a RS2 mod can choose some RS2 Veteran players to be in charge of that as a volunteer job. A mod can do it too, but we got a mods that don't care about this. Also in the guides you would need it to include what is EVERYTHING you need. And should go just like black market trades go, what do you think.

Basically make Sythe even more cluttered, with even more Mods needed to be implemented to control the section.

I don't like this idea, because Guides are meant to be made to help people, not sold.

You do realize the idea of new staff system is to have like 42 moderators I think it was.

Anyways I think rs2 guide sales are a thing of the past. They all could be found using google so no need in selling them. Also led to a lot of scamming that people could get away with.

    I realize it now. :)

But still, I do not believe that such a notion should be brought back.

    Case Closed.

I agree, i don't think guides should be sold... there supposed to be helpful to everyone, not hidden and you have to give a arm and a leg to get a helpful guide..

I don't really see what's wrong with selling guides provided that they worked.

That's how I made most of my money from Sythe previously.

It was a big scene for scammers, and the fact that you would pay 1m for an account you've already seen before was pointless.

Few mods verified a couple, and maybe 5 of that guide sold.

    Not worth it.

I support, but yeah just a kind of add on to your suggestion:

Like in the dispute or community general forum, the guide will have to be verified by a runescape mod / whatever before it can be posted.

I agree you should not be made to pay to see a guide. Its something to help you learn for free.

    Finally a decent suggestion!

Since more than half of the retards expect to be handed a godlike free guide to solve all of their issues, maybe this section could get rid of some of the "omg failguide noobsauce u fail wanna fite im lvl120!?" spam. Since they can always pay for good guides.

It should be allowed, but Mod's/Admin have to verify the guide first.

Peops post there guids there to help the Community and show of there skills not to make a profit.

When a admin removes a forum its for a good reason, and when they do that normal they don't intend to bring the fourm back unless the staff choose other wize.

EDIT: And if we have mods/admins verifying it first, don't you think people will try adding keyloggers/virus ect...

If mods had to verify it before the topic could be made, or anything could be sold, there wouldn't be any scammers, 'cuz then they would know that if they had a guide that was pure lie, they wouldn't get anything, 'cuz a mod had to verify it.
    I think I support.

I always thought of the guide sales section as sort of like a business.

You, are the owner. You make something with your knowledge. You want to sell it.

That's just like everything else in the world.

For example, there is the AirAlert guide around the internet which can increase your vertical by 8-14 inches.
The guy who created it made it, and sold it to people that were interested.

I think thats the same with RS2 Guide sales.
If people really wanted your guide. they can pay for it with their own choice.

The only problem is what most other people said.
    Scammers etc.

It wouldn't be hard to chuck a few people that Sythe staff know to help out the section. It would just be how the guide verifiers handle everything.

And if you see anything wrong with that problem. post it here.

Lol. I disagree. You should share knowledge, not sell it.

Agreed, and to all the people going and following everybody just to fit in:
Wrong, all the guides were verified by the staff and made sure they were not ripped. Just a ton of fights broke out when one really good sold guide was bought but then leaked and spread everywhere. It started happening with all the good guides and people were crying hissy fit all over the place.

But some things can't be helped. Their should be a disclaimer to all the guide sellers that if something goes wrong it must be dealt with out of Sythe.

    We'll see?

    Well, you do that.
But as for me, I will do whatever I like with what I know to earn a decent income, you can't force me to share what I know.

On Topic: Only if the guide is verified by a mod and the guide is really worth while.
For example, the guide seller would state 'Get 1-50 attack in 2 days' all the guide says is to kill which mob (go kill chickens, then cows etc) and play for 15 hours a day! (bullshit)
Or just says 70-99 attack, makes the guide all fancy with colors and pics and adds garbage like how to get to bandits and what gear to wear.(bullshit)

All I'm saying is that, if the guide is verified by a MOD and the quality of the guide is really high and can't be found no where else and provides everything it claims, allow it to be sold. So basically very strict requirements so not any person with general knowledge of runescape can just make a fancy guide with colors is able to sell it.
