Guide: Quiche inside a tomato. YUMMY!

How to make a quick and simple quiche inside a tomato.

Ok well this guide should help some of you who cook for themselves, I came up with this idea ages ago but it is in many cook books. However I have adapted my own recipe to my own personal liking.

Firstly you will need the following:

6 Roman Tomatoes (depending on the amount of people you are having over of cooking for if just yourself maybe just 1 or 2 roman tomatoes)

Half an on large onion person (half an onion if just for you self)

    Large egg (one per person)

Bacon sliced (could be any form of meat that you like if you do not eat meat then just leave this out)

    Step 1:

Preparing the tomatoes, remove the stalk of the tomato and make sure to give them a good wash under the water. Now cut the top of the tomato of so it is flat, and with a spoon hollow out the tomato to make a bowl. Make sure not to make any holes in the tomato as this will be holding your mixture. (like the ones below)

    Step 2:
With the scrapping of tomato place this in a bowl, with salt and pepper to taste. Add any other herbs you like you can also add small amount of curry or chili for more of a kick.
With the Sliced bacon cook it on a fry pan until it just cooked (will finish cooking in the quiche) Now add the onion to the bacon and let these both simmer until there golden brown.

Step 3: Pre heat your oven for the quiche (times will vary from oven to oven, just check your quiche when it is in cooking to find out the time for your own)

Step 4: With the tomato mixture add the egg and whisk so all is combined, now add the cooked bacon and onion to the mixture.

Then finally pore the mixture in the tomato bowls, place the tomato quiche’s on a try in a pre heated oven. Times may vary I placed mine in the over on 200’c for 25mins and the came out great. (Sorry about the size could not get it to the size I wanted)

Maybe some pictures for 2,3 and 4? I'm not saying it's necessary. You got a picture for Step 1, then nothing under that, which looks...blah. But thats just me =]

Might try this, even though I don't like tomatoes that much.
