Why do you still play runescape?

Why do you still play runescape?
It sucks.
Graphics sucks compared to other games.
Pvp sucks, lots of things suck
Why not play World Of Warcraft?
I don't want to hear, oh its 15$ a month........

 

Yeah, COMPARED TO OTHER GAMES. But if you think about it, really, they are pretty decent.

PvP sucks? Elaborate.
Everything sucks? Like what and why? You have nothing to go on, my friend.

I'm just saying compared to other games it sucks.

 

So don't compare it to other games and it won't seem so sucky.

 

In certain aspects, yes it sucks. PVP and trade are my biggest dislikes in the game. However, I have played WoW since 2005 and RS since 2003.

Cost: No one cares, most Runescaper's end up paying for a pure or something too so it's equal. This only affects children between 6-11

World of Warcraft, I've gotta say WAS THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD, since release to Janruary 15'th 2007 11:59 PM GMT. The next minute, when TBC was released, WoW became like Runescape - beginging to die. The problem with the game is that Blizzard think it is developing, exactly like Jagex do, but in a much more epic fail sort of context.

Runescape was a really addictive and extremely fun, in it's prime of 2004-2007. EXACTLY like WoW, 2004 RS2 was released. The wildy was home to I'd say a majority of the player base, RWT was at a high, players were happy and having immense fun. That all changed December 10'th 07.

So what am I trying to say in conclusion?

They both have changed too much for me personally. WoW was my game when I'd have 18 hour AV sessions on my 60 Orc Warrior, with people releying on me to tank drek. Going out with the guild to do some world PVP slaughter on stormwind, then chasing an ally guild throughout STV. THAT was what made WoW so WIN-MATERIAL. Thats gone now, it's not coming back.

Runescape was my game, when i had my level 99 strength, 94 mage, 70 attack pure with 76 combat and I would get home from school and look REALLY forward to Pk'ing and staking, making millions.

But why do I still play Runescape? Simple, about 6 of my RL friends do and we all play together to socialize and talk and have some small goals.

How has WOW been boring?
The game is increasing. 2 years ago there were 7 million players in wow......
Now theres 11 million, I've heard. That is not gone, tbc did not make WOW fail.....

 

I make more than my sister does with her real job money wise rofl xD

 

runescape is still a fun and cheap game. simple as that

Dude, WoW? Why we don't play WoW? Why I don't play WoW?
Simply, because WoW is as filled with 10-year-olds as RuneScape.
Is there any cool cheating-community, other than a sub-forum in Sythe.org, for cheating in WoW? I don't think so. I only think they've got gold sites.
Also, I wanna have a life. I wanna make my homework, and become something. Not getting addicted to a game with no social things included, and where you will just HAVE to play the game, because if you don't, you will get sick, 'cuz you're addicted to WoW, and that's what you get, addicted.
Not like RuneScape. Here, it's cool to be a PURE, for example. (Yes, I know twinks)

For the veterans of the game, the game is not what it was. It's the new, more clueless players such as yourselfs who think WoW was always like it is, and before you comeback saying "lala I played since 2004 nubz". You made a thread about Runescape in the Runescape forums, so let's stick to Runescape and not have a statistical fanboy discussion now, because it seems all your doing is trying to tick off Runescaper's and give meaningless figures to the point which I was raising in comparing both games.

MMORPG's then you would know that it...well...SUCKS! I mean come on FAGEX trweats the players or Rs as there all a bunch of 3 year olds (well most of them are because thya still play the game) like punishing everyone for RWT. I mean they took out PVP for everyone??!?! Thats bull and they just change crap and add all this usless stuff that no one likes and its a waste of graphics and that .000000000000000000000002KB of RAM it's using. So I played WOW once and I was hooked. Thats how it was with RS when I first started playing and I wish I hadn't of wasted all that time and money on it.

 

Lol I've been playing WoW since 2005 and Runescape since 2002.
For me WoW is getting a lot better, from each passing year.
Runescape, for me and pretty much 40% of all the players in runescape pretty much say Runescape now sucks.

Also I have friends, that have been playing WoW SINCE IT STARTED AND THEY SAY THAT THE GAME IS BECOMING BETTER EVERY YEAR.
I'm not trying to tick off people, I'm sorry if it looks that way.

graphics isnt everything

runescape is designed to be able to be played in a browser with no lag, So the live stream has to be minimul - basic graphcs

i have kinda stopped playing, i find after a while it does get boring

but i dont think graphics make one I-iota.

 

I didn't say graphics is everything,heck there are random ass MMORPG games with WoW graphics but there pvp and in game socializing sucks and Runescape is better then those underground games.

 

I play to make money, I bot accounts and max them out.. such as woodcutting and i sell the logs.. And i sell the account for money and the gp i make from the logs for money

 

I quit rs after achieving 99 range 91 mage for 2 months. Might sell that account soon and now I am back on my new pure and that is the only reason I play rs.

 

I play RuneScape myself, but TS is right...

You can only base how good graphics are on how they compare to other games.
The PvP system is like click and wait.
Game revolves mainly around grinding. (WoW is also similar in this aspect)
