How to stop your dog from barking...

Have you ever been relaxing, just trying to rest, and all of a sudden WOOF RARRRARR WOOF!!!! Doesn't this just make you wanna strangle that dog,roast him, eat him, and then spit him out again? Well if you do, then I have the answer for you!


There are a few solutions that are listed, however, some work better than others.


1. Tie your dog up, and throw him in a closet. Note: Make sure you gag him, otherwise he will start barking because he wants out. However, this could be considered inhumane, so therefore, it is highly unrecommended.

2. (Recommended) You know those little spray bottles everyone is always spraying you with?

Well, those little things will be of big assistance here. What you do, is fill some of those up with water (can be bought really cheap), and place them strategically around the house. Then, when your dog begins to bark, spray him in the face and say "Quiet" calmly. Every time your dog barks, you must repeat this process, and gradually he/she will begin to stop barking.

Things to Remember:

1. Remember to periodically refill the spray bottles, otherwise you will eventually run out and having nothing to spray your dog with.

2. Remember where you hid your bottles, otherwise, you will never be able to find them.

3. These bottles can always be used to defend yourself and a robber breaks in, just spray him in the eyes, and take the chance to run away.

4. Make sure to aim and hit the dog, not the carpet, otherwise you will have a big mess to clean up



Note:Instead of spray bottles, you may use other objects that spray water (NO FIRE!!) such as:


Squirt guns^^

Hoses^^

Etc. Etc.

Yes, but some dogs bark excessively, and not just to other dogs. For instance, I have seen dogs bark at cars as they drive by.

 

i tryed that for fun and i had to clean the mess the squirt bottle made and after he takes off, i see him drying him self off on the carpet -.-

 

That is why you spray lightly, and make sure you hit the dog, not the carpet. I will have to add that.

 

Clean this part up a little, it's too bunched up. This could be a nice guide to have if you do this, 4/10.

Wow a totally random title! Anyway, yes you are right mate. Dogs bark excessively, which is annoying. But you should seriously cancel out Option 1. That is merciless, and there is no point showing that if it is inhumane. Anyways, I rate 5/10(being leniant here).
