Buying A Domain Name​

A Tutorial to Educate by Lachlan​

Intro​

Before buying your domain name you have to know what you want your Domain to be. Example: If you have a website that has something to do with Xbox 360's you maght want to have something to do with xbox 360's in the domain name, so when people visit your website it is easy to see that it is a site to do with xbox 360's.
Now, the best site that I use to order all of my Domain names is GoDaddy. You've probably heard of it before if you've considered buying a Domain name, but even if you haven't It's a great site.

Searching for a Domain
Alot of people (including myself) hae had trouble purchasing a domain name because it's taken or you think you could have something better.
So start your domain search here:

and search.

It will come up like this if your doain is available, and will show you other domains you may want that are also available.


After that click continue to registration, or go back and repeat.

Registering
After you do the above step, it may give you an offer, you can take it or click no thanks down the bottom.
So either login or create an account, I wont walk you through that, it's simple and takes 2 minutes.


After you've logged in or registered, check how long you want your domain for and continue.

Payment

Check what domain protection you want, it's up to you.



Now their's alot of choices here such as email's which would be like
[email protected] ( if the domain i picked was xboxsythe.com)
and their's hosting, I won't say anything as you should be able to pick these yourself.

Now click checkout at the bottom of the page.

Now you can review your purchace, choose your payment method and continue.


Once you have purchased your domain park it to your hosting account ontop of your temporary domain, or whatever you have.

Thanks, GoDaddy is who I use every time, they're reasonably cheap and are reliable.
