How to: Make your account 100% Recoverable

Original Guide From Mike_w_99. This guide was made, and thought of by me. This guide will contain 2 main sections.

REQUIREMENTS: Verified paypal, or a Credit Card.

The first section will be on having your account recoverable. wether you purchased one, or if it was made by you. NOTE: If it is a bought account, it MUST be F2p.

The second section will be on how to properley recover your account, if anything were to happen.


How to keep your account secure.

In this section, I will be teaching you how to keep your account secure.

Lets say you just purchased a level 78 Pure, and want to have it secured for you. The first thing you want to do, is get as much information as possible from the seller. After he has given you information, you want to make it members by Credit Card, or Paypal.

Click the accounts tab on Runescape.com, it is very easy to see. You now click account managment, then click start/extend subscription. Click what you would like to use it for. Runescape, Funorb, or both.

You now must click subscribe by Paypal, or Credit Card. Your paypal must be verified to do this. Here is a picture on which to click.



After doing so, you must fill out the correct fields, and complete the transaction for members. If you subscribed by Credit Card you will get you Agreement ID at the end of the subscription, and the Transaction ID in the Email.

NOTE: Save the Agreement ID into notepad for further reference.

I'm not to fond of paypal, but from what I understand you get an Email somewhat the same. I don't have en email picture, but it will show the transaction ID in there. It will be listed under Transaction ID: and not Merchants card ID.

Now that that's out of the way, you should have/set your recovery questions. Write them down and put them somewhere if you wouldnt remember.

As for the previous passwords, if it's your account you will know them, if you bought the account change it 3 times, just incase you ever need to recover the account and the old Passwords are wrong.

For the postal code and email, if it's your account you will know it. If you bought it off a member, and it's wrong, you will resort to using the ones you Subscribed with Paypal, or Credit Card.

Other details:

For this section of the recovery, you should put what you remember, and/or recieved from the seller.

How to properley send in a Recovery Appeal:

For this section, I will be teaching you how to properley send in a recovery appeal with the information above.

When going to make your appeal, hit the accounts tab on Runescape.com, and go to Account Managment. After you do this, go to recover a password. You will then have to click, recover a Stolen Password if it was stolen, or Recover a Forgotten Password if you forgot it.

Recovery Questions:
For the recovery questions, all you do is fill in the recovery questions from 1 to 5 based on your Questions you set.

For the Membership info, click Paypal, or Credit card, whichever you used. Open up your email, and find the Transaction ID in the Transaction Details. Open up notepad, and get your Agreement ID and put that in as well. It will ask your earliest subscription for Credit Card, and for Paypal, it asks your Earliest subscription, and how long it was for. You can find this, by going to your Earliest Email from Paypal subscriptions.

Alright, at this time you will be at the Passwords section. This part is pretty easy, just enter in the earliest passwords.

Next is the Contact Details. Put in the Email you subscribed for Members with, as well as that Postal code.

Enter in a new password.

Other Details:

For other details, enter in when the account was Created, or what you remember. Enter in the Internet provider used, EX: Telus, Rogers, Shaw. You will now want to put If you moved or not.

As for the text box, put in Where you live. How members was payed for. Who's credit card, and paypal it was. What type of credit card it was. When you moved, ( from where, and to where ).

That's basically it, this will help anyone who has bought an account and needs it recoverable.

Most people know how to send in an appeal properley, but for those who don't enjoy, and I hope I helped.

NOTE: THIS DOES NOT MAKE YOUR ACCOUNT SECURE, IT ONLY MAKES IT RECOVERABLE IF THE ORIGINAL OWNER DECIDES TO RECOVER IT OR SOMTHING ALONG THOSE LINES.

nice guide i'd have to give it 9/10 mostly because i knew most of this already, its infact well written, and if you need a tip, if you change the password 10-12 times it (i believe) resets ip address and you should be all good, also try to set bank pin, remember all the old pins, if you gotten ip address from the seller, try to find out what internet it comes from (google it) and then also check the blackmarks, and put that information in the very bottom, where you can type shit. this will work 100%, add that in to your guide

 

Lol, well, you only need to change the password 3 times quick and ur good. As for the other stuff, it wouldn't really help because it won't make a difference.

It might speed up the appeal by a little, but other than that nothing.

rofl, i kno for fact it does work, i tried this a lot of times.. they DO read your appeals, if it does have enough information, tbh you can even recover your account with just the passwords and the creation date, they just need to know the creation ip and where it was made and passwords, membership works on the third step, but its still useful to have it
