How to minimize my RS lag?

Alright so I have tried quite a few things now. Yesterday I downloaded Java 7 and my lagg was gone and I went up like 15 fps. However today, it didn't even register I had Java installed. (I didn't even remove Java 6 Update 31 which was previous one.) So here are my specs below. I really don't wanna spend any money right now, but if you have any recommendations as to what I can download or set my runescape settings to.. feel free .

 

Hmm, well you could start by removing any unused programs to free up space then download ccleaner and run the cleaner, that normally helps a bit but that is all I can say if you are not trying to spend money.

I'm guessing you are on a rather old comp so it might only support 2GB of RAM. You could try to pick up 1 more RAM stick and that should help, other than that you have hit your comps ceiling..
