Sythe Admins & Mods.

ok idk if this is the right place to post this or not, but...

is there anyway to become a sythe admin/mod? like an application to fill out? or does it all run on a buddy system? or is it a local thing where the only mods/admins live in the town the site is worked on?

 

You for one don't ask... The staff picks who ever they think is best suited to fill a position that needs filling.

 

you just need to do 3 things:

1. suck up
2. suck up
3. suck up

 

So you sucked up to admins to get your position before Jesse?

 

perhaps that works for some, but i hadn't ever spoken to a mod before i was promoted.

just be an active and kind member.

i really don't give a shit to explain to you how easy it is to get staff but no, i befriended half of the staff before they got their positions and some other people through the irc/xbl/msn

i remember when your voting came up and the only reason you got staff was because no one else in the staff knew much about the SFA (except Finn and Sythe but they didn't want to mod it) so they made you SFA mod and later you became off-topic

you didn't get a big staff position at first (only one sub-section) until you earned your trust. the only reason friends of staff get positions faster is because staff personally know them and trust them.

Really, I heard they're having a hard time promoting people because of trust issues and such. To me, that's why Tribal has GFX and RS Mod.

 

Someone said FINN promoted you for modship because you are his friend....

3 steps for modship:

1.) Get on your knees
2.) Pull down a few pair of pants
3.) Hope the admins think that's the best virtual BJ they have ever received in their lives. You must work the shaft and swallow all the gravy.

there has been lots of talking about sucking up to mods, just winds up into a flame fest so best to be ingnored but there will allways be people that suck up to a higher athority, but hey who doesn't like having someone be their bitch?

Its pretty self expanitory how their picked, be a good person, dont scam, likable, trusted ect.

 

I never sucked up... I was suggested and I got mod... End of story... >_>.

 

Try submitting an application by PMing the admin named Finn. He usually adds mods if they have good applications.

Getting a promotion is really subjective and in the opinions of the mods/admins running the place.

Quite honestly, just don't ask them for apps, it'll piss them off if you do. Be active, trustful in markets, don't get a negative rep for denouncing people, and you should be fine.

 

no one has recieved a staff position by sucking up in a loooooooooong time, its really not going to work.

theres no real guidelines for becoming staff, it requires experience, dedication, loyalty, etc. we'll come to you if we want you on staff, not the other way around
