Graphics turn into lower quality when saving?

I'm having a small problem. When I save my GFX that are kind of big, the quality goes down. It looks clear in Photoshop, but once I save it, it turns LQ. I save it in .png, and make sure I have the correct settings set, but the same thing happens.

The quality doesn't go down dramatically, but I can see the difference. I'd like to keep my graphics in the highest quality as possible, so is there any way I can keep the quality same when saving?

This only happens with large GFX btw.

 

Can you show an example? Perhaps get a screen shot to compare to the lossy version.

Are you resizing things up?

It's a slight difference, but it bothers me. And no, I'm not resizing.



EDIT: Just realized it doesn't look too bad on Gyazo. The quality goes down more than that.

 

Gyazo screenshots also reduce the quality though. If the Gyazo quality is better than the original then there's definitely something wrong with your settings. Are you saving it as web or just save it with the png extension?

 

I just realized it was Imgur that caused the quality reduction. I tried uploading it on other image hosting websites and it didn't reduce the quality. I guess Imgur resorts to lowering the quality when the image exceeds the kb/size limit.

 

a lot of these free image uploads convert to JPG anyways, and we can say 'in general' that JPG/JPEGs have lower quality than png/bmp
