Graphic Saturdays - Competition #1 (Submission Stage)

• To submit any graphics, please send them directly to Dialatic using the private messaging system. If you post anything here, then you will be disqualified. All pieces are to remain nameless until the voting stage is completed.
• Make sure that you read all of the rules before participating in this event.

Competition #1 Criteria

• This weeks type is wallpapers.
• This weeks theme is anything.
• Minimum dimensions are 1000px by 500px (width by height).
• Maximum dimensions are 1600px by 900px (width by height).

Competition #1 Prizes

• You will win a 10m cash prize courtesy of Dialatic.
• You will be able to pick next weeks type and theme.

We hope that everyone has fun with this event, and hopefully it will bring more activity to the graphics section. We encourage everyone to invite their friends to come out to vote and to submit graphics. Please play fair, do not get friends to vote for you, and do not tell people who made which graphics.

This stage of the competition will be available until 10/11/12 (October 11th 2012), then the next stage will begin.

You are allowed to reply to this thread with questions, comments, and concerns. Just please do not post your submissions here.

 

When it's all over you should post a thread with all submissions so people can browse through them and use them if they'd like.

 

I can't do that because they don't belong to me. However, after the voting thread is closed, the designers are free to release their work to the public. They just can't release it before.

 

You sure the min/max size is supposed to be the same?

 

For this first competition I'm going to make it be that size. Future competitions will have more flexibility.

 

Does anyone plan on making submissions? I know a few people said they would be near the end, but any so far?

 

its because you made such a shitty theme no one wants to do anything.

make it freestyle or an interesting but vague theme and you will get more entries.

also, we just had a wallpaper one recently. Maybe thats whats stopping people from entering.

Try starting a thread in graphics showcase (not the discussion topic; no one looks there) with a poll and discussion for the weeks theme. Just a thought.

Im guna be entering though, regardless. If I win, might start playing RS again.

 

This is not the signature Saturdays, this is a fresh start at something new. I wasn't aware of the old competition requirements.

Anyways, like I said, I loosened the restrictions. We have 1 entry so far, looking forward to seeing many more!

 

It was a great idea to make that sticky in the marketplace. That's the only forum I usually access, and didn't knew about this competition. I may submit an entry on this later, if I find free time.

It's unfortunate he is just getting this to me now that dialatic has taken the reigns and issued fundamental changes, rendering this banner useless. Still though, I wanted to pay public tribute to his hard work.
