Mass Bans among RWTers & Botters

Seems like Jagex has been having fun unleashing a spree of bans of many botters and RWTers. I'm just making this thread to catalog the list of threads about it on RS

Perhaps this list will grow? My theory is that it's just Jagex testing out different features for Optimus and making their success public. We'll see where this goes, gentlemen.

Doubt it's any new system or anything special. Jagex talks about 'special' stuff for years but never really deliver too much. All botters know especially in recent months that Jagex has been really slacking on bans and it's hard to get banned.
It's very easy to see with the naked eye who the botting clans are, they have existed and people knew about them for months, they put a big target on themselves by claning up and having a clan page on RS.
As for RWT they can just check which accounts regularly trade large amounts of GP regularly.

They are just being slow, and as always showing off their 'success' to the public to have legits put more faith into the future of the game.

No special systems or anything too scary for botters I see, just Jagex using common sense.

I totally agree with Yohojo. Even members here on Sythe find botting clans etc..
I'm pretty sure its just some plain tracking.

honestly, I'm surprised this didn't come sooner tbh, sucks for the people who got banned but they made a lot of money along the way anyways.

 

Wow, Jagex are really on the offensive these days. In all fairness though for so little work banning a select few accounts this will definitely have the wanted impact on the community.

 

Channel 4 got banned for RWT. He did a lot of boxing and also boxed for others and took 10% commission.

EDIT: if you find anymore people who got banned make a list of names so people can see.

 

Took them over a year to track down 3 "ringleaders"... why are they bragging?

 

Because like I said, Jagex likes to 'show off' their 'accomplishments' so legita/people with no black market knowledge think that they are working hard and making the game better/more playable.

 

funny how jagex always does this lol. does a shit job at doing things then posts how good they are on their website. they took a long ass time to ban people who were obviously real world trading for years. smoking mils? theyve been scamming people through merch clans and real world trading for years and years, they have a huge website that sells gold right there. good ol' jagex..

well it is still almost 2 years too late, these people have been obviously rwting for years.
Not that I wouldn't do the same, but still epic fail on Jagex's part not catching such obvious rule breakers.
