    Biology Project NEED HELP!

Alright so I am doing a project for Biology. Our teacher gave us UV Beads. They are basically plain white beads that turn a certain color when put under the sun. The darker the color, the more UV there is. The teacher gave us 10 beads in total. They turn back to normal after a while when put back away from the sun. I am trying to find out if the beads will turn darker under a white shirt or a black shirt. I will then take pictures of the beads after I put them under the certain shirt. Then I will upload it to my computer, zoom in onto the beads, and count the amount of dark colored pixels there are on a certain amount of zoom.

    My question is,

    What is the test group?
    Control Group?
    Manipulated Variable?
    Responding Variable?

I am very confused on what to put down for this.

What is the test group? Test Group would be both the beads put under the white and black shirts, 2 test groups.
Control Group? You need to have beads not under any shirt. Something that is in the control group isn't effected by the test and used to compare to "normal".
Manipulated Variable? A manipulating variable is the variable which you deliberatly alter the value of, so in your case the manipulated variable would be what shirt is covering the bead. (It may be a good idea to have the manipulated variable also be how long the bead is covered by the shirt, check at 10 mins, 1 hour, 5 hours, and see if length of time also effects the control.)
Responding Variable? The responding variable would be the answer to the above, it is something you measure to get your results, so the responding variable would be whatever you come up with as for number of dark/light pixels when you zoom in.

I believe this is accurate, someone correct me if I am wrong. When I was taught this stuff, we were never taught manipulated and responding variables so I had to look them up, but they are just a synonym for independent and dependent variables apparently, which is what they were called when I was being taught.

I hate when people post asking for help, then never reply.
