Grade 10 History - The Automobile

Hey everyone, I've got to do my culminating for Grade 10 History.
(CANADIAN)Our task is to basically choose something random, and do a SIX page essay on it, yeah .. fuckin 6 pages. This would be easy, but I find if I write 6 pages about the automobile, alot would be worthless information .. What can I do to complete the 6 pages without half of it being useless info. Also, since this is canadian history, can I mention things that aren't Canadian but may be important?:S

    Suggestions?

    Thanks alot,
    Wub.

The automobile itself is EASILY a 100 page doctorates thesis for anyone who wishes to dive into it's history.

You need to narrow it down. A lot. Write about Henry Ford's invention of the assembly line and how that allowed for the mass production of automobiles, and would eventually revolutionize how all products are mass produced.

Canada and cars don't mix. They're American and Japanese. You picked a shitty subject if you want to try to tie cars to Canada.

Maybe talk about Ice Road Truckers.

Have you thesis be something along the lines of "cars revolutionized the Canadian economy and lifestyle because they connected the previously separated country" (clearly improve that)
First talk about Ford's founding of the car and the assembly line. Then the spreading of the car to Canada, then the cars affects on Canada (draw on economic graphs, new companies, and personal accounts).

I would believe cars to have a great affect on modernizing canada because it was probably very hard to get around before them. I'm sure there was some massive highway project; you could talk about that (if it exists) and how it added jobs for people.
